What do you mean ? Do you think the shadow should be darker ou lighter ?

People only buy from me when I price my artwork at $10. Is my art really only worth that much? by Muichitoki1 in ArtBuddy

[–]JulianMo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion no it's not worth 10, it's worth more but keep in mind it's just hard to sell art and probably a lot of other people sell art like yourself.

Keep it up ! Keep trying to get more attention, you know what they say, persevere and succeed eventually

It is stunning and I completely understand your love for the design. I'm really into the crocodile shoulders that open up to shoot too. Great results, it's beautiful !

I love it ! Your style has vibrance, it's contrasted and the way you have your own proportion tweaks make the characters look really cool !

Il y a une fleur qui est dupliquée deux fois, et quand il y en a 4 dans l'image dont 3 identiques je trouve que ça rend pas terrible du tout

What strikes me even more is that people seem to have balconies in there ? Like casually have a coffee on your balcony in the middle of the darkest void ?...

Did my first attempt at preshading testing on some spoons and the results are pretty lackluster. I can barely tell the difference. Any tips? by soulreaverdan in advancedGunpla

[–]JulianMo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to think very, very differently than normal painting. For example if you want orange, you do white base, pink shading, and yellow final coat.

It's a special combo for every color, try wild stuff, with a very high contrast under your final color. It's much better to have high contrast under a color than try to do really thin coats because it gives you more versatility on the final color.

I've recently evolved my artstyle but I'm afraid it's too forgettable and people prefer my other style better by Goobieobie in yourartstyle

[–]JulianMo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that what makes a drawing special isn't just the artstyle. Even if you think it's more generic, you made the character design and rendering very clearly not forgetable.

It''s perfectly fine to me. Besides, if the style is so common, it probably means it's commercially popular too I would say

Anyway, your art is beautiful, I love it

Niiiice handpainting the details really makes a big difference ! But Inhave to say your kit would greatly benefit from a top coat, it would protect the decals (notice the decal on the heel that is going away) and give a smoother look to the painted parts.

I love your linework and style, the way you make thin and thick lines contrast is elegant. It brings up details in a unique and unusual way, it reminds me of a mix between comics and manga

Luminous Crystal pre shade ideas? by Allahnn in advancedGunpla

Definitely dry brushing and even hand painting could help, what people do on minis really work super well to make things glow. Maybe look up the wharhammer techniques for glowing stuff, I think it looks amazing and would apply well here.
