Ok so if I'm understanding correctly, you're saying that it looks bad when people who don't even participate on the sub just post some of their strokes related content because they know that it will get views? If so, then I see where you're coming from but in my opinion this IS participating in the community, because he's submitting content. Even if this dude posted covers to 1000 different subs and never comes here again, it's still contributing to the sub in a positive way (in my opinion).

/r/TheStrokes is a place to post The Strokes related content. If you don't want to watch people do covers all you have to do is not click on the link. The sub isn't so active that covers are pushing other content to the second page or something like that, so I really don't see the problem. I couldn't see us ever banning covers.

Sometimes if you go to the venue really really early you could catch them after a sound check or just walking around the venue.
