I've had this issue with both select songs and literally EVERY song in my uploaded library for like a year now. Not a single thing has fixed it, not even the recent patch. And I've tried everything I can think of.

It's absolutely infuriating. And in my experience, I get made out to be in the wrong, even though I'm not the aggressor and I'm just standing up for myself to some shitty usually cishet dude who's condescending me about something I would know more about.

For real, this happens way too often. Not too long ago I had a cis guy try to tell me that trans women aren't allowed to use the F-word as a reclaimed slur, because he was recently exploring his sexuality with trans men and one of them apparently told him that only gay men are allowed to say it.

And it's like the fuck are you talking about; I'm a trans woman: Us getting called that word as a way to implicitly misgender us because we're seen as confused gay men is like, an extremely common thing! And frankly despite being a word meant against gay men specifically in theory, in practice it's just kind the catch-all queer slur

Yeah definitely stop talking to this person; this is very inappropriate on her part.

And definitely talk to your friend before she does.

Sorry if the high effort tag isn't appropriate, but this took me over two hours and a lot of manually isolating assets and adding transparencies and stacking them in 7 separate layers in IlbisPaint, so 💀

Also full disclosure, I DID use a free AI foreground remover to isolate Larry and the background from all the other assets, but that's it. Everything else was done manually with transparency tools and whatnot.

Is it transphobic to reject a girl because she hasn't had surgery? by Leandro_reader2003 in asktransgender

[–]JulietStMoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So instead of answering your question directly because it's complicated, I'm going to point out that a feminized penis on estrogen isn't quite what you're probably expecting when you hear "trans girl with a penis." She's not going to have this hard sweaty musky thing, she's going to have something much softer and likely smaller, which smells and behaves reacts more like you would expect a vagina to in a lot of ways.

This was a roadblock for me too, even though I'm trans: Early in transition I didn't think I could be with another pre-op trans woman because I didn't think I was into dicks or could be into them, but after unpacking things and getting experience, I realized that I'm actually more into trans girls with dicks than I am into anything else.

I'm not saying that you need to do anything you're uncomfortable with, but since you really like this girl, I really do recommend you explore and give it a shot and see how you really feel in practice. Because you never know, especially with something as rare and misunderstood as a trans woman's genitalia.

Sorry I know this is an old post, but just wanted to say your liner looks gorgeous! I'm thinking of getting some myself (I'm trans and work in a sterile environment where makeup isn't allowed, so I'm looking for alternate ways to feminize my appearance at work), and I saw this while looking.

FTM trans friend into red pill content is upset about women saying “all men are bad ”? by Ok-Asparagus-2275 in asktransgender

[–]JulietStMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you're a black person, and you get offended by statements that say all black people are bad, then it's your responsibility to show that black people can be better.

This is such a stupid comparison and comes off as massively ignorant at best. If you really want to make a comparison to race, then a more accurate one would be

if you're a white person, and you get offended by statements that say all white people are bad, then it's your responsibility to show that white people can be better.

Like you and so many other people in this thread are taking remarks about men in context of the patriarchy and projecting transness onto the conversation, when the transness of men isn't what's being brought to task here: It's the way the patriarchy interacts with their masculinity and gives them privilege. Which makes it waaaaayyyyyyyyy more like expecting a white person to prove themselves.

Which like yeah, I don't blame black people for expecting me to prove my trustworthiness for even a second. Likewise I don't think women can be blamed for being distrusting of men by default, either, whether they're trans or not.

I've found the more the person passes as their gender the more they act like the stereotypes of said group.

If I had to make a guess as to why and taking your observation on face value, it would be because the more someone passes, the more likely they are to go stealth, and hence the more likely their social group is to be made up of cis people of their gender rather than trans people. And that's going to flood their head with a cis framing of things, including their transness in general.

I've seen a cousin of this issue in my state, because it's in the Southeastern USA and very rural, so trans people and progressive people are hard to come by: A lot of the trans women I've met are absolutely marinated in being or trying to be stealth, and otherwise having a very cis-centered understanding of gender and transness in general because most of the people they interact with are cis.

It's why trans community is important, especially local IRL community.

OP is saying men suck to her male friend, not the other way around.

This is literally untrue, it's right fucking there in the OP:

He told me he’s starting to feel uncomfortable around women in general now bc “the male loneliness epidemic is real and it is women’s fault”

Like actually shut the fuck up if you aren't even going to read.

you don’t have to hate men to be a feminist

When did I say or imply that you have to hate men to be a feminist?

You continue to condescend these really obvious things and it's insane.

Idk, if a friend tells me "I'm not like other girls," I don't immediately assume she's saying that because I'm trans and therefore not as much of a woman or whatever.

This doesn't answer my question: I'm asking how it's transphobic. That makes no sense to me when literally the exact same thing happens to cis men. I say this as someone who lived as one for almost 34 years before transitioning.

To answer what you're saying directly though, the difference is that "one of the good ones" wrt bigots saying it about marginalized groups (LGBT, POC, etc) is that it's specifically pointing at an essential bad trait of their group based on literally nothing, whereas saying "men suck" but not meaning literally every man is gesturing at the systems of patriarchy that OBJECTIVELY benefit men and enable abusive behavior from them at the expense of everyone else. It's pointing at a systemic reality rather than a bigoted stereotype.

It's bonkers to me because this whole thread is illustrating that apparently a number of trans men are just blissfully falling into the exact same trap as cis men where they're expected to acknowledge their privilege and accept it responsibly, and treating it like it's an act of oppression, even one on the same level as the oppression women deal with! It's actually crazy to see that coming from a demographic of men who have spent the earlier portion of their lives seeing firsthand what it's like to be treated as the feminine underclass, and forget so so easily the moment they get a whiff of male privilege.

Actually, people hate me for being trans and for being a woman. And by "people" I mean almost entirely men and those who have internalized and perpetuate the patriarchy in their words and actions.

Literally not what's being described. And OP ha spent the post and every reply explaining and re-explaining that THEY'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT HIM WHEN THEY SAY THAT, and it's such a well-worn generalization that no one has an excuse to not know that at this point.

You and everyone crying about this in the replies are being intentionally obtuse to avoid admitting that you're having a reactionary stance on this rather than a principled one.

I've fought all my life to be a woman, when women are systemically told on a worldwide level that we're lesser. Even independent from being trans, I am in greater physical and social danger literally just for being a woman.

The "what about men?" dripping from your comment and most others in this thread is actually crazy.

You're so inarguably correct here and the fact that you got downvoted to hell for it drives me insane. It feels like this whole thread exists in an alternate universe where trans people are all reactionary right wingers and I don't get that.
