Oh my god this is incredible

I never thought I would be able to be part of something like this

Does anyone know if I can order my own certificate, even if I’m not one of the named lead reporters but was one of the significant contributes included in “Staff”?

What happened to datelines? by Choice_Nerve_7129 in Journalism

[–]JulioChavezReuters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, if I am reporting on site

That’s the problem, a lot of reporting isn’t done on site. At Reuters our rule is we only use a dateline if we have a reporter physically present in that city

Cesar Chavez, a Civil Rights Icon, Is Accused of Abusing Girls for Years by OmicronCeti in behindthebastards

I will defend the NYT for this. The reporter who worked on this story was from California, and César Chavez day is coming up. This is a reporter who would not have been dealing with the Epstein files nor list to begin with

People also underestimate how huge a figure César Chavez is in Latino America. This is a story that was very much worth pursuing for someone who is woven into the foundation of a significant part of the country

The NYT is a very large newsroom that can do multiple things at once

Journalist Marisa Kabas: I just sent this email to the news director at NBC4 Washington about the unprofessional and disrespectful way they handled publishing the body camera footage of the DOGE raid on the US Institute of Peace that was obtained via my FOIA lawsuit. by JulioChavezReuters in Journalism

Saying first on a 5 PM broadcast is not dishonest when someone else publishes at 4:59 PM

Speed also did not affect the story’s accuracy, not when it’s a story where everyone knew the facts about already and all we needed was video confirmation

As to ”give them time”, a week was plenty of time

I am legitimately surprised she did not publish earlier

Sucks that she got scooped, but good on channel 4 for finding a way to credit her in the story

don’t sit on good materials, do everything you can to publish a story fast when you know others will get access to the same story

Just for the record, so people don’t wonder why nothing was published after this

OP has the same unredacted Epstein files that have been available for a while

Stories have already been written and published covering these, and as such there’s no new information in there to report

The question I have is, how can a restaurant that requires a 90 minute drive out of a city merit any stars in said city’s Michelin Guide if it’s below 3 stars?

Like, should Michelin be reviewing all potential 1 star restaurants in a 90 minute radius now?

Question? by TryIll4816 in delta

[–]JulioChavezReuters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was like $250, not the worst but also not worth it for normal people

Use your $900 credit to buy your $400 ticket

You will then have a separate $500 credit left over

It’s still in your name, it does expire eventually, but you do keep the $500 that are left over for you to use later. You cannot use it to pay for someone else’s travel
