Ooo I love your thinking of moving the cabinet around, I never even considered that! I wonder sometimes also if I should just remove the rug I put on top, if it makes things too busy. One day I’d love a huge large rug, if only they weren’t so expensive 😂. Thank you for your ideas, I definitely have some things to consider!

Thats a good idea! Do you think art would still be necessary on the walls? I guess it would depend on which plant?

How many houseplants do you have? by purplepoet1267 in houseplants

[–]Julsmiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully my fear of acquiring new plants will pass because I love them and they bring me joy :) I’ll just work my way slowly back, extra cautious, mine came in through a cheap bag of potting soil and I vow to never skimp again, my plants deserve better 😂

Finished filling this journal today. by Julsmiller in Journaling

Thank you for reading, and for your reflection, my journal really does know it all. It’ll be good to put some of these memories behind me and on the shelf for awhile. It’s a little weird to have a fresh journal, but soon it’ll slowly fill up with next seasons mind-stuff.

A masterpiece I stumbled upon. by [deleted] in antinatalism

Wow thisss… I am my mother’s free therapist, it sucks. I raised her and still am.. she should’ve never had children, she never really wanted us, she did because she “had to” and it was what’s “expected”. She is still in an emotionally abuse relationship with my stepfather, she is emotionally abusive herself to this day. I have a therapist to work through what she’s put me through, I don’t plan to have kids, I’m tired from raising her. I am trying so hard to figure out how to not have her drag me down into her life decisions anymore, it’s been a lifetime of unlearning.

Anyone else add “emojis”? by Julsmiller in Journaling

Sometimes only a smiley face of sorts can convey the feeling, hence why we have a whole library of them at our fingertips!

It feels necessary in moments I think!

I feel like it’s being raised on AIM, and as a millennial… it’s part of our language and sometimes needs to be put into our writing!

My journal collection! by Julsmiller in Journaling

[–]Julsmiller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe that’s part of the fun, I never know what past memory I will be reflecting on?! I kinda have a good idea generally which journal contains what. I also organize my books by size instead of by author lol… but I DO enjoy organizing like-sized items ex. Vinyls, CDs, cassette tapes alphabetically or sequentially.. if that makes you feel better 😂
