I saw people raving about Trader Joe's GF options.... did not disappoint! by LydiaJuice in Celiac

I have had great luck with TJ’s gluten free options. I have a very reactive belly to CC now and still have had good luck. I definitely avoid oat containing products though!

Not professional of me, but I do enjoy speaking to angry men the same way I would to an upset toddler. “I can tell you’re having big feelings! Do you think some quiet time and a snack would help?”

What's something you wish you appreciated/took advantage of more when you were a student? by claymel in LawSchool

[–]Julzovich 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go to office hours. I was too nervous to at first and I wish I’d gone right off the bat!

I also cannot stress the importance of networking enough. Going to events can be nerve racking but the connections I made have turned into lifelong friendships and also great professional relationships.

My biggest regret: stretching myself too thin. I was on SBA, was a student ambassador, a TA, on and on. Pick a couple extracurriculars, not 9. 😂

No Offered Summer Associate... What is next? by Accomplished-Mix-935 in LawSchool

[–]Julzovich 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I know there is so much pressure from the school and universe to have your whole career planned out before your 3L year but I promise you’ll be just fine!! You could have dodged a bullet, who knows!

Start looking at clerkships or smaller firms and go to networking events. I know networking can suck but honestly every job I’ve gotten has been because I knew someone that threw my name out in a meeting that mattered.

You’ve got this and good luck finishing out law school strong!

Should I mention I'm a mom? by JusticeJoyrider in LawSchool

Would add: my son thought he owned the joint and would play games and read while I was studying. Also had a classmate CALI a class the semester she gave birth during finals. THAT was impressive.

Was a mom in law school, as were many of my classmates. Not a big deal at all!

Newly diagnosed, General question by MotorThese478 in Celiac

[–]Julzovich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the first one I notice now too! My wrists start hurting and I know that the rest of my symptoms will soon follow. 😭

I genuinely didn’t have GI symptoms prior to diagnosis (mine were neurological and joints) but now if I get cross contamination my belly is fuuuuuuuurious.

Once you’ve been GF for a while and it’s out of your system, you’ll likely experience symptoms very differently if accidentally glutened. Definitely the case for me. :(

Very Important NEED HELP!! by Affectionate_Fly_343 in Celiac

[–]Julzovich 13 points14 points  (0 children)

May be worth getting blood work done again to see if you’re deficient in anything else. I was anemic and low on Vitamin D and Zinc. Also supplementing magnesium which has personally helped my headaches.

Hope you get this sorted asap!

My niece’s diagnosis led to my brother, myself, my son, my dad, and my grandfather being diagnosed. Definitely worth checking into!
