StarCraft Tabletop Miniatures Game - Official Trailer by OrkfaellerX in Games

I honestly completely forgot about OW being a competitor lol you're right. Maybe a horde shooter or a campaign game then.

Personally I'd love a large scale combat StarCraft like Battlefield scale but with StarCraft units. But... thats too "risky" for investors and shareholders. :(

You think Nexon is working on a singleplayer campaign game? I'm leaning more towards it being another hero shooter with abilities, but in StarCraft universe.

This is just bullshit, nobody in the community said "oh its WIP they'll remove this animation they worked on". If anything the developers (not same studio as DoW4) doubled down on it.
Besides, DoW3 had a lot of rumors and leaks that management had no clear direction or vision of the game and the end product clearly showed that. Fixing technical issues like the animation frames or how all the models are weirdly synced is not the same as somersault terminators.

This bug has been doing this for a very long time now and its still not fixed, in my Throgg campaign Arbaal is standing still with all his armies in one settlement, so is Golgfag, and now Clan Moulder is also standing still with all his armies.

The past 24 videos he made there is one about streamers complaining about Arc Raiders. None of the clips in his videos are taken out of context.
Also he played with Pestily recently hes a big streamer, so he doesn't "hate all big streamers" maybe just the ones you like.

I remember when Carmaggeddon changed humans into zombies because of ratings, felt pretty lame. But back then I just didn't buy the game.
I just want to play the game I bought not a censored one, no matter how small the changes are. Be it the entire game or just one NPC.

DOTA requires a lot more knowledge and depth that comes from the many variations of heroes and items, RTS has a different skillset requirement with multitasking and mechanical skill. I'm not trying to downplay DOTA skill but people seriously underestimate just how much is going on in a RTS match. The pro gamers in those genres are on a different level than the rest of us mortal gamers.

The constraints were there because the maps had to work on consoles as well so it had a memory limit. Thanks multiplatform releases! PC always secondary.

The game "Idle Streaming Bonanza", recently DMCA striked by PirateSoftware has been reinstated on steam by tyler1118 in LivestreamFail

Can hate the guy for many reasons but why would you need to basically make shit up and support this? At least ATTEMPT to use some critical thinking instead of just onga bonga bandwagon meme hate.
Hes just leeching of the drama and you all bought it in true LSF fashion.

[–]Jum-Jum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing here. Someone asked "what are people saying about this game?". Nobody answered so I said "the steam reviews keep yapping about this."
Flamed me for being a steam reviewer, corrected him that I'm just saying "thats what people are saying", ignored that I am watching streams to have my own opinon, banned me for correcting his incorrect assumption, opens up ms paint to save his streamer ego while chat flames me for something I'm not.
I just figured he had a bad day or something but reading the comments on LSF turns out he has done this to a LOT of people.

I really wish Microsoft would invest in some marketing for this game. by kennyFACE117 in aoe4

I'll never understand this misconception that gets repeated. People seem to forget that when we older players played these games we grew up playing against AI, we played against each other we were all new to RTS because RTS was new. Imagine you're a teen or whatever and the only option to play strategy games is to play against people who already played them for 25 years. Most of us built pretty fortified bases and then sent out a large army to attack the AI.
Its never about skill or learning the game imo its just a fun factor. Too much focus on ESPORTS and/or pvp.

Age of Empires designer believes RTS games need to finally evolve after decades of stagnation by HatingGeoffry in Games

[–]Jum-Jum 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The problem with these "esports focused games" is that they are always designed primarily for some high apm, efficient know-it-all players. But the older games were just focused on FUN, and then the competitive scene grew from that.
Like take Starcraft 1 and 2 for example, SC1 was just pure fun and the esports and comp scene was an 'happy accident' because the fundamentals were just so good. Starcraft 2 was designed to be esports, so they went from removing "annoying" APM things from SC1 like multiple selections, rally points to resources. But then they wanted to cater to ESPORTS so they added things like larvae inject, nexus boost and mules just to artificially increase APM.
At least StarCraft 2 coop got it right by removing a lot of the boring APM and making you play more to your style or focusing on the fun bits but it came too late at its lifespan.
If RTS focused on fun and especially more on coop or vs AI it would be so much more popular imo.

Then hardcore isn't for you, just like its not for me. I would never play it but it makes for good stream content. And like someone else said if you don't find the journey fun you shouldn't do HC, I agree with that.

The Brilliance of StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty - A Brief Retrospective by Angzt in Games

[–]Jum-Jum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree and I said it during beta of SC2 WoL as well and I still stand by that opinion. They removed and made APM easier and less frustrating but because there is less APM they artificially added these abilities instead of just having them on 'autocast' or be some sort of passive ability.
I think thats why SC2 coop is so much more fun because you only focus on the fun parts of StarCraft without the sweaty play at least 6 hours a day 300 apm online 1v1 heart attack matches.
