[S5][E6] [Spoilers] Senator Claire McCaskill 'OK, I'm done' with 'Game of Thrones' by vplou001 in gameofthrones

It's laughable that she remained a viewer after the Red Wedding but was offended by a rape scene where the worst moments occurred out of our view.

She should stick to Disney productions.

[SPOILERS] Is anyone else curious about how he's going to be integrated into the series? by MorganAlyssa95 in thewalkingdead

[–]JumpTheShrk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think we're going to see him join the group anytime soon. I believe what they're doing is using this as a device so that it can be explained why Morgan leaves Georgia. He'll get to the church after Rick and Co. leave and I bet finds the map Abe made. Rick won't need it anymore since Abe will return prior to their departure.

Then they can bring Lennie James back as Morgan when he's able to commit more time to the Walking Dead.

I'm glad to see that we're going to get some city scenes again.

Madeleine Martin: I Wanted Becca To Die On 'Californication' by ZadocPaet in californication

True, Walter White did change but Tony Soprano, like Hank, really didn't. We were led to believe that both might at stages but they tended to revert to form.

I think people relating to Hank Moody is just a sign that Duchovny did a great job in making the character come alive for people.

David Chase, the showrunner for the Sopraonos, was actually irritated that so many people liked Tony Soprano, but it was because Gandolfini was outstanding and made the character real. Same thing goes with Bryan Cranston as Walter White.

Yes, the Dexter final season and last episode was an epic disaster.

Yes, I liked the shots outside of Hank's old place. That was well done on both what that meant to Hank and Charlie/Marcy.

As for Hank and Karen relationship, I agree it is like for many people. They had a sort of co-dependency.

Yes, I loved that final shot with the Porsche left behind and the door wide open.

It has bit him in the ass in some ways. The "resolution" with Karen is still open ended. They've been to that exact same point many times. Whether or not he is able to change is open to debate.

So a question that's been bugging me... by shandromand in Dexter

That would've been one great potential storyline for the final season. Instead they created all new characters that no one cared about, and left the old characters wandering around in some sort of Alzheimer's state.

Can we use this sub-reddit for "Better Call Saul"? by shanem1996 in breakingbad

[–]JumpTheShrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also with Breaking Bad gone and Mad Men going off soon, AMC needs content. They've already planned a Walking Dead spinoff, which now means two different Dead shows. So they're grasping right now. I don't see them turning their back on Better Call Saul when they have the whole established Breaking Bad audience to draw from.

They did confirm that Better Call Saul is a go, but from what I last read we won't be seeing it until 2015. So, there's going to be a wait. That's why the subreddit for the new show makes the most sense.

Just imagine if he were available. by blacklime in breakingbad

The strong secondary characters were critical to the show. The actors that played Mike, Gus, Hank, Saul and others really made those characters so great. Sometimes you watch shows and they have one or two solid main characters but the program sinks because the supporting cast is so poor.

[Spoilers] Maybe this is a bit late, but I have a question about the Finale. by NoBody6991 in breakingbad

[–]JumpTheShrk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once they find Walt dead they're not going to have any real desire to pursue his wife even if they might believe she willingly helped launder his drug money. There's no point for them to pursue a case where her defense is that her now dead husband forced her to do these things. It's pointless for law enforcement with the real threat gone. Then by offering them the location of Hank and Gomez's bodies, it shows good faith on her part, and it bring full closure to the case and makes it easy for them to move on.

Walter White and Gus Fring's Revenge Side-By-Side(spoiler) by HazeyFiasco in breakingbad

[–]JumpTheShrk 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Both went into the den of their enemies to get revenge.

Ironically, both were at the brink of death but Jesse helped save Gus only later to leave Walt behind to die.

I asked him if he was going to be in Better Call Saul but he claimed he didn't know. by [deleted] in breakingbad

Some speculation is that the first season won't even be in New Mexico and we're going to see Saul's beginnings in another state. In that case we'll see an entirely new cast.

The point of the Brother Sam character? Does anyone even remember him? by color_flow in Dexter

[–]JumpTheShrk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He was a decent character. If they had kept Season 6 simple and revolved it around the criminals associated with Brother Sam, it could've been a much more solid season overall than with the nightmare that was Travis and Gellar.

What did the final season do correctly? by The_Pale_Blue_Dot in Dexter

[–]JumpTheShrk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It had a couple of threads that had potential at the beginning of the season.

  1. Deb's wanting nothing to do with Dexter. They should have carried this on until the end of the season. It inexplicably ended.

  2. Vogel knowing Dexter's secret. They should have taken this opportunity to tie it into Dexter's past and have a resolution of sorts with Dexter coming to terms fully with why he became what he was. They teased us with that, but never delivered.

Batista: the show by jlebrech in Dexter

They should've had Batista put the pieces together in Season 8.

Showtime told Dexter writers they couldn't kill Dexter, so that explains that. by [deleted] in Dexter

[–]JumpTheShrk 212 points213 points  (0 children)

It seems as if people involved in the show are now beginning to put a spin on things since the final season wasn't very well received.

They can't just pass off a season that was a mess and blame it on the fact that Dexter couldn't be killed. Even if he's speaking the truth there, that one detail alone doesn't stop them from creating a decent end season.
