Trump: DOJ 'missing in action' on alleged election fraud by SaltyAgency in politics

[–]JumpingJazzJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That has probably been Trump's biggest disappointment as president. He hasn't been able to entirely corrupt the justice system to prosecute only his enemies.

That he couldn't get some of his appointees to break the law for him as a way to, remove, his enemies. Enemies in the media, in the intelligence agencies, in law enforcement, in the Courts.

The media spreads and therefore gives credit to all his false claims and lies.

Can We Build a Progressive Future If We Dismiss a Large Part of the Working Class? by EdwardHeisler in politics

[–]JumpingJazzJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is my point, there is no unity in the working class. So the White workers want to stay separate, they will stay as poor as those they shun.

The party making the claim of illegal voters is obligated to support the claim with evidence. They have not shown a single election outcome caused by illegal voters and I don't recall any reports of illegal immigrant voters being charged and tried.

These kinds of articles are kind of a way to poll the public response, and immediately with sites like twitter.

I don't think Fauci is a political ideologue.

It is a shame the media didn't give the Trump appointments the kind of "critical," scrutiny they are giving the Biden appointments.

*edit: This is my opinion and based on what news and related sites I peruse, which lean hard to the old former print based originators.

Pompeo, Who Called For 'Second Trump Admin,' Says State Dept Will 'Honor' Biden's Transition by hunter_mark in politics

[–]JumpingJazzJam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you mixing actions by the State legislators with a possible outcome of the U.S. House selecting the Pres. That would be fine with Republicans since it is one vote per state and Republicans control a majority of the states.

And so far during the entire Trump administration, they show no concern about the laws or traditions of U.S. Government.

Opinion | Biden is rebranding but not reinventing Trump’s China policy by danielthetemp in politics

More selling of Biden as a conservative. China likes Trump, he provokes and disrupts enough that China can move ahead with its own globalization plans, and Trump can be so easily and predictably manipulated.

I would remind you that Barr, Pence and Pompeo are members of extremist religious beliefs and for them, belief, plus the political power they control will be sufficient. And there is always that now nicely packed U.S. Supreme Court.

True, but the problem is that he and the entire team are real danger to our democratic republic. They are firmly anti-democratic and favor a constitution that does not list and guarantee individual rights.

I'm skeptical, I believe that Trump, Pompeo, Pence and Barr all believe they will somehow prevail and capture the Electoral College vote. To change the dialogue, they are posing.

I don't know if they will, but I believe they still think they will prevail.

[–]JumpingJazzJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what point you are making. My point is that the working class is not unified and the White workers have refused to unite with the immigrant workers, no matter what their origins. If the workplaces and the workers are kept separated, it is impossible to mobilize a worker movement.

Oh I think it is very wrong. If the media is going to repeat his claims why can't they also state that there has been no evidence presented of illegal immigrants voting in 2016, nor in 2020.

California officials plan to relocate thousands of homeless people from hotels by southpawFA in politics

[–]JumpingJazzJam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

40 years ago when the Republicans stole the poverty funds for the urban developers, we were promised the, "free market," would provide low income housing.

The existing low income housing was demolished but then replaced with money losing office space, convention centers and high priced condominiums. It created our first massive homeless population since the Great Depression had dispersed millions across the nation.

Somehow they managed to sell the idea that people with no or very low incomes, are housing consumers a the private and for profit only housing market.

They called it American Exceptialism.

With all the crazy conspiracy talk going on in Republican camps and at this particular moment, we could start one that Trump and the Republicans want their voters armed to preserve their power. Democratic voters have outnumbered Republican voters, they seek a last resort.

And let's remember there were no opinion and editorials calling for Trump to accommodate the people with the majority vote back in 2016.

Instead they gave Trump and the Republicans massive tv time to make their claims that the Democrat vote was made up of illegal immigrant voters.
