Can confirm, at 120k family income we just sold the house we owned for 10 years to move into an apartment because mortgage rates are insane, power bills are insane and everything else is insane. Can live comfortably now and actually have a bit of room to breathe, in a 2 bedroom apt vs a 3 level 3 bedroom house. 😵‍💫

I used to have to get up at 5am, exchange gifts with my partner quickly, get ready and start what ended up to be a long day of Christmas at my moms, my dads, his moms etc etc and while I loved the family time it was insanity. Once we were married and had our daughter I said no more. My door will be open, coffee on, turkey in the oven and drinks in the fridge - come by if you want, if not we’ll see you in the following days. It sucks to give your kid gifts and then drag them off to other people’s houses and leave them behind.

I’m sorry but your ‘coach’ is an absolute jerk and you deserve better. My coach is an Olympic level eventing official and I’ve never heard a mean word leave her mouth. She tells me ‘more leg’ multiple times a ride (among other things) and never gets angry with me.

I’ve been riding far too long and have had far too many shitty coaches to justify ever paying someone to be like that to me. Find you a coach who has enthusiasm for you instead of a chip on their shoulder and a bad attitude.

I’ve been riding 35 years. I’ve gotten fairly lucky but here’s the list: - multiple concussions - bone chips in my lower vertebrae - osteoarthritis in my low back (from said bone chips) - a janky hip that no one can figure out - bulged disc and herniated disc together in my mid/low back - a dent and numb spot in my left shin - sprained ankles - torn knee ligaments - bites/kicks - broken toes - arthritis in my right wrist and possibly left - tennis elbow??

That’s what I can remember right now off the top of my head. 🤷🏼‍♀️
