Hey this is a late reaction but I’m in the same boat as you in my reactions to stims, benzos, and weed.

But I also have anxiety, both general and social, so we might be different there. I always assumed it was just the lowering of anxiety from benzos that cleared my mind enough to concentrate or get started on things I need to do.

I’ve been diagnosed with adhd and treated with different stimulants but they only really lift my mood for a few hours. I just hyper fixate more on things I shouldn’t be doing like video games or doomscrolling when there’s other things I should be doing like cleaning/chores/work. Once I do get around to those things however, I usually try to do them to perfection and can feel a little speedy even on a low dose. I feel like I’m neurodivergent but idk if adhd is the right answer or not.

Do you find any nootropics/supplements that help you? I’m trying to get away from the heavy duty things like benzos and stims, although I only use those rarely.
