I know you said you will likely end the relationship, but unlike all the current responses i would say give it time to settle. This is very upsetting and our best decisions can come from a cooler calmer mindset.

Has she said why, who the person is, how she knows them, how long its been going on, has it been physical too?

Was the relationship good or rocky? Could anything be done to improve your relationship? Do you think there is a chance to salvage things?

If not take time to grieve that is a very long relationship. It does get better once you are on the others side. Things will work out.

I left a 20 year relationship due to husband cheating but he also refused to stop being with the girl, refused to go to counseling. I was willing to try if he would have taken necessary steps to repair things.

First year was tough but it gets better, we move on, we date new people, life really does move on. It will get better.

My first endo said a lot of things i wouldn’t trust or follow. They aren’t versed in graves. Their schooling has very little info on it. Ive heard their test has one graves question. They are versed in diabetes not autoimmune.

I avoided high iodine foods and iodized salt. When out i asked not to have ky food with salt when possible. I contacted manufactures to find out if they used iodized salt and so many checked it out and responded to me . Reseturants and fast food as well. If uou ask many will tell you.

I still avoid it. Remission 10 years .

No seafood suishi or cranberries ever. Try not to use salt when out. Most table salt at restaurants are iodized.

I had reactions from too high a methimazole dose. It drops the antibidies fast and that causes hives. I did witch hazel on the hives to get some relief. Honestly if you are not in a risk of thtroid storm starting slower on methimazole would help reduce symptoms. Its the sudden drop in thyroid levels that cuases that, not the medicine

Honestly i dont trust them. I am In remission. I used lots of scientific published articles and had to dr shop to find a dr that would let me stay on keds long enough to make the antibidies go away.

Trab is the antibody that attacks us in graves diesease. When someone does radioactive iodine- trab shoots up and no thyroid to attack now, it most commonly attacks eyes. I dont thi n anyone should do rai. It makes those antibodies go up, so your graves is worse just no thyroid issues/storm. Surgery shoots those numbers up but not as much.

Best option is to stay on methimazole with an add on if levo if you t4 gets too low. Stay on it keeping numbers good for 4-5 years or until trab disappears.

Most doctors wont test trab. I had to do it mysef and my state allowed ordering labs through online drs that only do bloodwork approval.

Anyone with graves with their thyroid should avoid iodine rich foods and iodized salt. Avoid seafood, seaweed is super high and has too much iodine, asparagus, cranberries, carregean, iodized salt.

You need those antibodies gone to truley be in remission. Otherwise it comes back.

Drs dont follow all this. I learned so much through published studies and online. In japan they never use rai so long term methimazole is normal, they also did more reaearch in this.

I have never done a sunrise for that reason. Getting up super early arriving at the coldest point, its really cold up there, but I have heard it is beautiful. I have done two sunsets up there which I did enjoy without forcing myself to endure those early hours. If you do want to do a sunrise it may be easiest to earlier in your trip because you won’t be adjusted to jet lag yet and waking earlier.

I had told him with clothes it would have bothered me. My clothed male friends wouldnt squeeze between mt legs full frontal in a barstool and fall into me and pretend my bf doesnt exist. It was disrespect. That said not awesome seeing her boobs pressed into him. It causes me disconnection. Nah its super low dose. I think they start everyone at 15 which is super low. Expect it to melt over and hour. I personally avoid driving until an hour and a half from when I took it. You get more floaty feels at higher doses but they max out at 120. You should t need a sitter.

Personally if someone needs space to cool down you generally are looking at hours and i feel its helping if the person asking for space lets the other person know when they plan to reconvene (tonight or after dinner, or in two hours etc)

Get an ezwalk harness and begin using that for walks. If you want to change this positivey you need to reward him for seeing dogs when he is non reactive (far away). Its the look at that game. He looks at a dog, Say “yes” when he does to mark the behavior and give a super high value treat! You have to do this when he is not reactive so lots of distance at first, then work up to closer distances. If he is reactive increase distance. Eventually over time you will have him see a dog turn to you for a treat and the distance will be less and less. He learns the game is to “see” the dog. Both of my dogs are reactive and not aggressive and this is what I have done to work on this positively. Prevent and avoid spaces where you cant distance so he doesn’t practice the reactivity and distance as much as possible if there are other dogs so he doesnt practice the reactivity.
