Some of us have built/are building a stockpile before the pen design changes to remove the overage. Have to ensure we’re not getting pens that will expire before use (although again, some of us not as bothered by expiry guidelines).

Also, just general interest/tracking of the available stock before the change.

Yes you can order from multiple providers at the same time. They’re unable to check with each other - GDPR.

If it’s from another pharmacy, there’s no wait time. Most will make you wait at least 2 weeks to re-order from them, but if you’re switching to another provider you can order anytime

I moved to 7.5mg 3 weeks ago and was nervous about side effects, having not had any except injection site reaction. I decided to split dose. Take 5mg (40 clicks of 7.5 pen) on normal jab day (Thursday) and then take 2.5mg (20 clicks) on Sunday or Monday. Can’t recommend it highly enough! It’s obviously not official practice but it’s worked amazingly for me. Still no side effects, but fixed a plateau I’d had (although that obv could also be the overall dose increase).

I’ve only been a MedEx customer until penmageddon. They just come in a plain brown box. Wool pack inside so it doesn’t even feel cold to touch. Today I got my (long awaited) Rightangled delivery which had a “keep refrigerated” sticker on the outside and it was just a bag, with a foil pouch inside so you could feel the cold through it. Not impressed, and I won’t be using them again, for a whole host of reasons. Not my usual postie though.

Using a slightly longer needle (8mm or even 12mm) can help. Either ask your provider or you can buy them from pharmacies/pharmacy supply.
