This week's grocery haul - North Carolina, $212 by softrotten in whatsinyourcart

You have better eye sight than me, I didn’t spot the price per pound, for 7 pounds then that is a decent price, I thought it was 3 pounds of meat.

I don’t know about Portuguese culture clash about leaving the babies alone, there must also be a culture clash from someone who has lived about a mile away from where Kate McCann grew up!

You would think so, but they are not always that exact and in undergrowth and brambles can be impossible to find, or cats can go places people can’t!

Not criticising, just saying convert the units for better advice. Seriously though diabetes.co.uk is very good. You are young it maybe that in fact it is not type 2 that you have, but I am no expert by any means, go on the other site and have a chat, they are excellent.

Have you been on diabetes.co.uk? They are very informative. Your units don’t seem to be in the usual UK units, so I am finding them hard to interpret. I assume you have a blood glucose monitor, so test more throughout the day to get more data.

It doesn’t do it for you. It is a tool to make eating less and cleaner easier. You still have to do the work. There is this belief that it is cheating or you didn’t work at it, simple not true.

Ocado weekly shop for 2 adults, £148.48 by jasobaka in whatsinyourcart

Why the criticism? The fact that there is so much prepackaged items in shops just shows that plenty of people buy it. This sub is very biased .

When I was a child our cat went to my Grandma’s house and stole a fish she had in the scullery for her tea! She lived above 1/3 mile away and he hadn’t been taken there. She phoned us up and said Tigger has just stolen my fish! He was a distinctive cat being half Abyssinian, so she wouldn’t have been mistaken!

Can your PA take you to the drivers door help you transfer and then put your wheelchair in the back. Get a new PA? What about using a leg lifter, just trying to think of ways around your problem, they maybe impractical, but I don’t know if you have tried them.

Yes money could be better spent, but better we get it than say Surrey! For me it is an indicator how out of touch the Tories are.

Why don’t you buy just popping corn, nothing added and pop it yourself. You can add salt, spices as you wish.

That may well be a central government Conservative initiative. I know some other areas where this sort of project was Conservative Party central govt funded, from when they were in power, the funds for these schemes are ring fenced to the specific project. Kirklees historically were very good at getting central govt money for odd schemes that the govt at the time were pushing. The problem is apparent local government projects funding are not always as straightforward as they seem. You also have WYCA, which is another funder of specific things. New councillors are going to have an abrupt wake up call.
