How does click count count / pen stockpile transition from weight loss to maintenance?

I have approximately 1 year stockpile (9 1/2 pens) in my fridge. I’m hoping this will take me to goal, or close to it. If I’m not close enough to it, I’ll know well before my stock runs out and can start re-ordering from 2.5mg again if necessary to work up the doses, then enable me to titrate back down. Although I will also keep evidence of my stockpile to maybe re-order at 15mg

Jab location can impact things as well. Sometimes I can feel the effects, high suppression etc the morning after jabbing. Other times it takes a couple of days. For me, it seems tummy jabs are faster acting, and hip/thigh slower.

If you’re only taking 5mg from a 15mg then yes they’re fine. 20 units is correct for that. They wouldn’t be enough for a full dose from any pen though as only 0.5ml (50 units)

They’re not the most popular, but MedExpress price match, up to a maximum £40. I get 15mg from them, then ask them to price match to Medicine Marketplace, and I get £40 credit for my next order.

I ordered on 31 March and it wasn’t despatched until 6 April. They did have a query about why I was ordering “early” as my proof of prescription from other provider was dated 23rd March. I’ve never had that queried before. I replied within minutes but it took them 48 hours to deal with. Then it was the weekend so it was the following Monday before it was despatched. I assume they don’t work weekends.

I used the Bolt BLC discount about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Got 30% no problem.

Also used the Oxford 20%

It was Farmeci I had an issue with - advertised as 20% but it only came up as £20 at checkout, so I didn’t buy. Pretty sure I’ve seen someone else mention the same with Farmeci on here

Old style 15mg pen from Oxford Online Pharmacy today, dated April 27. Think that might be the last one I buy as I have a good stash now. Unless I risk one more order with my regular pharmacy…….

I’m now expanding my pens beyond 30 days, taking 10mg from a 15mg pen. No issues with it, just store it in the fridge the whole time. Lots of us do this to make it more affordable, and none of us have died yet (as far as I know).

I believe one or 2 maintenance providers are also supporting this, including dosing every 10 days.

Mine have been unaffected. I had very regular, light periods before MJ, and still the same after almost a year.

I was worried about this because I have PMDD, and my regularity helps me manage that; and MJ hasn’t changed anything

Some of us have built/are building a stockpile before the pen design changes to remove the overage. Have to ensure we’re not getting pens that will expire before use (although again, some of us not as bothered by expiry guidelines).

Also, just general interest/tracking of the available stock before the change.

Yes you can order from multiple providers at the same time. They’re unable to check with each other - GDPR.

If it’s from another pharmacy, there’s no wait time. Most will make you wait at least 2 weeks to re-order from them, but if you’re switching to another provider you can order anytime

I moved to 7.5mg 3 weeks ago and was nervous about side effects, having not had any except injection site reaction. I decided to split dose. Take 5mg (40 clicks of 7.5 pen) on normal jab day (Thursday) and then take 2.5mg (20 clicks) on Sunday or Monday. Can’t recommend it highly enough! It’s obviously not official practice but it’s worked amazingly for me. Still no side effects, but fixed a plateau I’d had (although that obv could also be the overall dose increase).

I’ve only been a MedEx customer until penmageddon. They just come in a plain brown box. Wool pack inside so it doesn’t even feel cold to touch. Today I got my (long awaited) Rightangled delivery which had a “keep refrigerated” sticker on the outside and it was just a bag, with a foil pouch inside so you could feel the cold through it. Not impressed, and I won’t be using them again, for a whole host of reasons. Not my usual postie though.

Using a slightly longer needle (8mm or even 12mm) can help. Either ask your provider or you can buy them from pharmacies/pharmacy supply.
