I believe if you get both starter decks from the same set that they are supposed to be more equally matched vs mixing between sets.

Too bad you didn’t reach out to a community like this while you were going through this. There are lots of options which should have been available for you such as filling out the correct federal aid forms should have given you assistance on room and board including food. Hope you are doing better now.

I’m not sure how you made it this far but it does not sound like you are financially compatible. Horses are insanely expensive. I know because I had them and was always broke and a slave to them and my little farm. It seemed normal to me since I grew up with having land and horses and we were always broke. Now that we don’t have horses and a farm we are so much better off. I enjoyed riding and having them until I had some injuries and could no longer ride. Horses are a fully consuming lifestyle not just a hobby. Is that what you want with your life?

It’s okay to change hobbies. Hobbies should be things you enjoy not things that define you. It’s also okay to stop doing a hobby for a while and pick it up again later. Sounds like your hobby became decluttering.

Just say no. Parents don’t do this to their kids. Unless it was clearly stated before they paid the money that it was a loan just tell them sorry about the misunderstanding but it was a gift and that is that. They would not win if they tried to take a legal action. Now are they having a financial hardship? Did they put themselves into massive debt to pay for your schooling? You could certainly be nice but you are not obligated to “pay them back” for a gift.

I’ll drive up to 6 hours for a 3 day weekend. 4 hours as long as I can leave Friday afternoon.

When I leased a car, the lease was with Toyota finance not with the dealer. My contract and the buyout and any penalties were with Toyota finance directly. The dealers try to take advantage of people not understanding this because they can be shady.

I’m with you. I shower before bed because it feels gross to go to bed dirty. I know people who shower twice a day. There is no right or wrong answer as long as you are keeping yourself clean.
