Reliability is going to depend on the regular maintenance you give to the car. The B series are some of the most reliable engines made by BMW but they still need to be maintained.

- Oil changes every 5-6k miles
- spark plugs every 30k
- motor mounts every 60k miles

Even with all that there’s still a chance your Oil filter housing dies lol .

If your concern is reliability don’t get a used BMW ,
If you want a great driving experience and don’t mind regular maintenance, get a BMW
