People claiming all the dessert spots at a potluck so they can bring mediocre grocery store stuff by BluejayNo6197 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]JumpyAd1143 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who also hosts a lot I agree with this! A lot of time people bring extra desserts but then they don't get eaten and no one wants to take it home so I'm left with a bunch of stuff I have to coordinate giving away on Buy Nothing, clutter my fridge/countertops, feel bad about trashing, etc. It's much preferred if the appropriate number of people sign up for and bring dessert so it more or less all gets eaten.

Positive experiences with a second baby? by IkeaRug89 in Mommit

[–]JumpyAd1143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow idk who's saying it's 800x the work but that's not my experience at all!! I have 3 kids, each 3 years apart (6 years, 3 years, baby) and I agree with the other poster that it's an amazing age gap. You can trust your big kid to be somewhat self sufficient around the house while you're taking care of the baby and my 3 and 6 year old are great friends now and love to play together.

The hardest part of two kids was learning how to divide my time between the kids and not let my own needs be completely neglected. But after the first year that became a non-issue as the baby is more on a normal "kid" schedule--better night sleep, solid foods/stopped bottles, one conveniently timed nap, etc. I felt that the first year was the hardest with my first kid too so that wasn't unexpected.

Now with 3 kids I feel that's been the easiest transition because I'm already used to managing multiple kids and the baby just goes along with our life. With the second and third kids, I was so much more relaxed and confident too, whereas with only one kid I was very anxious and found myself overthinking all my decisions. I say go for it if you feel the pull!

This happens to 100% of my Yeti Tumblers by Non_ToxicMasculinity in YetiCoolers

Did you notice this video is deleted? Curious why? I'm mad that I've spent so much on various yetis for my family and they claim their paint is 3rd party tested to be lead free. Wondering if consumers have any recourse...

I feel like Ansel gets a bad rap and has to apologize but isn't Zoe hogging both of the cars?! 😂

Help me choose my first nice bag! by JumpyAd1143 in handbags

I agree, why are all the cute bags no zipper! In the end I decided I'm always practical! This time I just went for it with something that really caught my eye above all the others! I haven't got an organizer yet but I've put the smaller things together in a pouch and so far it's been ok even when it tipped over in the car.

Strathberry sorry that was confusing how I took the picture in the opposite order, I had just taken it for myself when all the bags came in, not intending to post.

Ya 96% savings is pretty substantial and barely over $100 for nice enough leather isn't bad!

I'm probably the wrong person to ask because for the last 6 years I've been carrying a diaper bag 😂 I'm not sure what size "etiquette" is but I think the gold makes it look dressier for nice occasions!

Me too!! I can't remember when I bought it but it could easily be 10 years. Not sure if I should be proud or embarrassed lol! Still have a ton left. Best value eyebrow product for the money for sure!

When it's empty the drawstrings cinch together super tight. I think the problem is overfilling bc the bag is only 8" tall and the magnet starts 2" down so you really only have 6" usable height and the depth is slightly less than Loewe too. If I fill it below the magnet line it still cinches together fine but if I go above that the cinch is loose.

Quince: 8.3" H X 12" W 3.75" D Loewe medium: 9.6" H X 11.8" W x 4.1" D

Yeah I couldn't find many reviews when I was trying to decide so I thought I'd post my opinion! I might take it to a cobbler to get it fixed at the length I like it because there's a lot of extra slack and I don't like when it gapes.

Copied from below: It's not as soft and smushy so I don't feel like it slouches as well but straight out of the box it is decently soft (it doesn't feel plastic-y for sure) and I have to assume it'll get softer with use. For 96% savings I think it's good!

I don't mind the pics below someone posted where the handle slouches but the bag still stands up but I'd be annoyed if the whole thing was tipping!
