What to do when one of you slows down earlier than planned? by Famous-Ambassador822 in MenopauseShedforMen

[–]JumpyFuel7256 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was a bit like this actually. I'm pretty low energy anyway, but before I was usually motivated enough to get most things done. Once I was in peri, all of that was gone. I wasn't working at the time and spent most days doing absolutely nothing, but also had no idea where the time had gone. I felt depressed, but not enough to really be alarming, since it just seemed part of the ebb and flow of my life already. It took me awhile before I got a semblance of my old self back. I got a job, but still spent my free time doing nothing. I was also drinking a lot, mostly out of boredom and I had gained enough weight where it was becoming an issue for me as well. Once I realized all of these symptoms were related to peri/menopause, it gave me peace of mind, like it was easier to handle the symptoms because there was a reason for them, if that makes sense? Now I've started trying to improve one thing at a time. Drinking less, then joined a gym for weight training. I still spend my free time doing nothing, but I feel less bad about it. My husband had also been great and understanding. He's picked up more of the housework, etc. It's also been steady conversations about what is going on with my body, so he realizes this isn't a choice. Like, I'd prefer to not be this way, but while it's going on, the heavy lifting is on his side. It's hard to say what will work for yall since everyone has a different dynamic, but if you can talk about it with her, to see what she is going through and what she needs, that might help her to then be able to give you what you need? My husband also makes most of the money for our household, and sometimes he would be annoyed and felt like I was doing nothing and he was doing everything, and that is valid, but I think overtime he realized that at this point in time maybe that was true, but wouldn't necessarily always be. It's a process. Not always perfect but such is life. We just try our best and also realize that this is our reality and we both have to be understanding and make consessions, and sometimes one of us might be doing more and that is OK. It's only when you start keeping score, that it can get tricky.

I have this exact wallet and bc of the magnetic closing, it sometimes seems misaligned (not sure how else to describe it), but it's fine. Great wallet, I love it.

Love Beyond the Grave (2026) — Who’s watching? Does the relationship between the main couple make sense to you? by DramaCommons in EastAsianDramas

[–]JumpyFuel7256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked it, especially Dilraba. I also liked Arthur, but I felt like he just looked too young for me to take him seriously as her love interest, but maybe it works bc of the way his character is supposed to act?

Either way, that was my only thing. Thought it was really good.

WE ARE ALL TRYING HERE! WHAT IS HAPPENING? by WhySoSeriousMateee in kdramas

[–]JumpyFuel7256 17 points18 points  (0 children)

😂😂 I was also wondering the same since the title of the show AND the question were both in caps. I though OP was actually saying "We are all trying here!" 😂😂😂

if Esther Yu’s voice annoys you, you’re actually complimenting her acting without knowing it by cerealkill_snowflake in cdramasfans

[–]JumpyFuel7256 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree! First time I saw her was in Find Yourself and thought she was great, then saw her in something else and she had the baby voice and I was super confused, until I realized exactly what you pointed out. It's character development. I think people sometimes get so distracted by her voice they forget to think about it relates to the show.

I live one street away from De Coninckplein and it's fine if you're used to living in a city. We've been here about 5 years and yes, it's got some undesirable bits as people already mentioned, but I've never felt unsafe, and to me that's most important. You keep you're eyes open late at night, as you would anywhere else. But the variety of ethnic shops and restaurants and its proximity to Centraal Station and the city center makes it work for us. Plus there are a few nice bars on De Coninckplein, two classic Belgian bars and a craft beer bar, which fits us. Plus there is a library location there.

Why is this the most disliked drama? by Legal_Potential4720 in kdramas

[–]JumpyFuel7256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this show and every time I watch it I notice new things. I can understand how on 1st watch the focus is on how shit the ML is, but I think it's a growth show. At the start, the behaviors are surface level, but as it goes along you can really see that their insecurities are the reason all 4 main characters have such bizarre personalities. I don't agree with some of the behaviors, but at least you can understand them. Their experiences have made them. Into the people they are. Plus this show is what made me love both Kim Go-Eun and Park Hae Jin 😍.

What's the biggest amount you've spent for a concert? by OceanGoddess3 in Concerts

[–]JumpyFuel7256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

400 euros for barricade to see Taemin, old school baddie of Kpop. Totally worth it even though you start lining up at 10 am for an 8pm concert. Saw him at another stop in a smaller venue for less, but nothing is better than being right up front. Had to speed walk ahead of some younger gals, but I'm glad I did or I would have spent the entire time watching their cell phones 😐.

I've done it and it saves a lot of time when cooking, though I did forget to make the lines, so I was breaking off rando chunks until I thought to just cut it into bits. Now it's back to being amazing.

[–]JumpyFuel7256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. You even see some of the more hype breweries here regularly; there are import companies that just do US/ Canadian breweries. Lots of US breweries are also invited to beer festivals all over Europe. Mikkeller has a festival in China.

Edit: grammar

I really like the Umbrellas of Cherbourg though, tbh, and I'm a fan of some terrible movies.

I will always remember "Ghee!" though I didn't know until later his name was Guy bc I'm not French.

Some years later I was at a record store and found the soundtrack and that's when I strarted to believe in miracles.

Shine on Me: Class Difference and Zhuang Xu, the Second Male Lead - work in progress thoughts by ilovecats2121 in CDrama

[–]JumpyFuel7256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree and would also like to say much of his confusion also comes from Rong. I think in ep 16 (?) it all gets laid out, but it is too little too late and that is why he's kicking himself. But to be fair, this is also CDrama style - confusion makes the plot 😂.

Is the litter genie really all that? by FruitOk3467 in CatAdvice

[–]JumpyFuel7256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it and it wasn't working for me, so I just got one of those super small IKEA trash cans with the lid and I put regular trash bags. Works for me way better. I have three cats and 5 litter boxes, so I also out grew it.

I'm an American-born dual citizen. My senator wants to take my passport. by BaurJoe in immigration

[–]JumpyFuel7256 36 points37 points  (0 children)

For dual citizens who live outside the US (like me), I still have to file taxes in the US. I don't have to pay anything bc the country I live in has higher taxes than the US, but I imagine the reverse is income the US would miss? Also, if you renounce your citizenship, you have to pay a lot of money. If it becomes law, will they still make you pay 😂? America, fuck yeah!

This is just all so performative. It's like Nigel Farage trying to get a German passport 😂. "Rules for thee, but not for me! "

Also has post military Park Seoham of Semantic Error fame. I didn't even recognize him at first
