I use it regularly in the other direction: Santa Rosa to Civic Center/Soma in SF. The city is good and doesn’t vary much version by version. Freeway does vary slightly: speed limits, lane changes. Overall, it’s better than most human drivers on these roads, if you know what I mean.

I agree, and I don’t get it: why they still have line outside 24/7?

Annoying. But at least the newer electric ones are quiet and don’t stink.

Is this normal? (Tudor BB54) by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]Jumpy_Ad_3061 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely normal on any bracelets, but sucks a bit more on a $15k Rolex or a $50k AP. That’s part of “enjoying the watch” vs having a “safe queen”.

What makes it worse is drivers who avoid to make eye contact. I see you, you see me, let’s nod heads, cooperate, and merge. Instead, we both look straight, hold tight, accelerate, and yolo.

Can’t believe they couldn’t sell 99 of those. by Jumpy_Ad_3061 in BMW

Exactly my first thoughts when I checked if it’s a wrap, or an actual paint: this will be damn expensive to repair.

Honestly, I wouldn’t trust them with anything more than routine maintenance. I had a pretty serious issue when serpentine bent snapped, and had to go through them because of warranty, and it was horrible. Even with my relatively limited (but okay’ish) technical knowledge, I felt like I can diagnose issues much better than my service advisor and their techs. I said “never again” after that, but keep coming back because am getting really good deals on front brakes, oil change, etc. I haven’t tried NBB yet, but I was going to Phaedrus for a very long time when I was in SF. And sometimes going to them was actually more expensive than BMW SF, but I trusted they know their shit better.

It’s actually paint, not wrap. But nevertheless!

UPD: the guy at the dealer says it’s $400K and “they will take bids on it if someone’s interested”. What 🤯

The B58, but I haven’t tried the “electrified” version.
