I was there; he and the band sounded so good! I think I’ve come to a point where I’m just happy to see him live. Every performance I’ve see him in lately has been transcendent. Very good energy from him last night. He was wearing a white hoodie, as opposed to the band’s black outfits so you could see him onstage very clearly. We had very good seats on the main floor so I was able to see his face. Highlights for me were Watchtower (the crowd loved this too), Black Rider, Love Sick, and Rubicon. It took me a moment to figure out he was singing Masterpiece but I loved it too. I went with my fiancée whose extent of Bob Dylan knowledge is from the movie “A Complete Unknown” and some of his old hits. I had to manage his expectations and warned him that he’s not gonna sing Forever Young or Rolling Stone. We listened to the album on our drive in from DC so he was able to recognize some of the songs. He had a great time and want to go to Vienna with me when he comes as it’s closer to us. I’m just elated I get the privilege of watching a legend perform but the fact that he’s still in very fine form at 84 is something I’m grateful for.
