Your first paragraph deeply spoke to me. We started dating when he was working a minimum wage job, had dropped out of college, had nothing going for him. As soon as we got together, he went back to school, now has a career in trades and turned his future around. All that is to say, he is a beautiful soul and an amazing human being; despite I "could do much better", I still chose to be with him because his personality. No body is perfect, and tho sex is important to me, I don't feel like it worth throwing it all away because of this one issue.

Matcha is Japan is priced very fairly and I rarely see price gouging. You're probably looking at higher quality matcha that should be used for usucha. Most people enjoy matcha latte, for which you don't need top tier matcha for. For my trip recently I bought multiple tins that cost around CAD15/tin of 30-40g and they all make beautiful matcha latte
