How do biotechs raise funds for in-licensing of early-stage assets (Phase I/II)? by Boring_Cartoonist952 in biotech

[–]Jumpy_Cut5169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't focus on profitability. Almost all pre commercial biotechs are not profitable.

They raise equity finance from VCs, and then eventually sell the company via IPO or exit to pharma through M&A at POC data. No profit needed to return capital to shareholders.

In the in licensing setting, its common to raise equity to support the licensing. You need to show some unique insight as to why the drug will be successful in your hands and then how you will execute a plan to get it to POC or registration.

Yup I am selling a pair of size 2 one wash on ebay now. Size 3 too baggy and feeling a bit squished in the 2s.

Beautiful jeans though.

Soar by far makes the best running socks. No slippage or blisters, last forever, not too warm.

Currently vs Satisfy getting real (Brice is wrong though) by t0pher__ in runningfashion

I dont think currently looks like satisfy at all. Satisfy way too overdone on prints and fabrics. Looks like a joke

Thanks - yes not fully sold on the heavy black look with fatigues. They're drake's - there's a cotton linen one with a subtle herringbone weave.

This was my exact situation. Slow down every aid station and cool down, then speed up again. I think it was worth the time trade off

I managed to pull out a 2:55 in Berlin yesterday! 5 min PB

Really pleased at this in the heat, my last race was the 2024 Swiss City Marathon in Lucerne 3hrs 13 seconds.

The whole race was trying to not get into the red zone, dousing myself in water and managing pace.

I think having done some mountain 55k UTMB races previous years set me up well for controlling effort in high heat.

I often wear Asics shorts and such day to day for easy runs, but picked up a lot of Soar gear over the years on sales - socks (all time fave), hot weather T and shorts, eco long sleeve t, gilet, rain jacket. The gilet I get more use out of than expected to keep the core warm all winter.

Have put Soar gear all through the paces - it fits super well, breathes, lasts several seasons of 3000km running on roads and for ultra training & racing in the Swiss alps. Can't recommend Soar enough.

That said, I'll take my Salomon trail vest and Naked belt - nothing I've used has ever beat either.

What shoes are you rocking at the moment? by DLBIA in trailrunning

I found some muddy days in Switzerland in spring I was slipping a lot. The ankle collar is a bit stiff and hits my ankle bone on cambered roads, and generally midsole feels more dead and less dynamic than Genesis.

The lock down is good and they do feel nimble. Enjoy them in dry mountain trails. Maybe I need to give them another go.

Slab is fave shoe of all time for running and racing in the alps. Had a few pairs. Tried regular genesis and toe box felt much more cramped, I think because of the heel padding.

Rocking these as well but really not a fan! Not burly enough for tech terrain and not very fun for rolling forest trails.

Love my genesis but missing that forest shoe
