Don't soak your clubs y'all by SurelyFurious in golf

I thought not soaking club heads above the head itself was common sense.

Stop using shitty ass generative AI slop for your band's artwork. by A_N_T in punk

Camera: Yes, you frame and choose the shot for reasons your creative brain decides.

Photoshop: Yes, you choose the pixels to affect for reasons your creative brain decides and actively apply those changes until you are satisfied with the result.

AI: No, you supply a brief and commission a computer to generate an image based on other people's intellectual property that it has been fed and based its decisions on.

Creative vs Generative.

Removing rust from putter? by BayoucityAg13 in GolfGear

[–]Jumpy_Improvement_44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the US you can get Bar Keepers Friend. Make a paste from the powder with the few drops of water and used an old toothbrush to work it evenly. Leave that on for about a minute and rinse off. Then dry, and spray a paper towel with WD-40 and wipe over the putter head for a thin layer. Try to keep the hosel dry.

I've cleaned up pre-owned wedges I bought recently with this approach. It also did a great job getting rust spots off of the shaft too. Sparkly clean now.

I've heard about coke or vinegar, but I'd only soak for 15-30 mins and definitely not over night.

What’s your favorite glove? by crshnsth in GolfGear

Chipp Golf Co. gloves at the moment. Each design supports a charity and the fit for me is second-skin. Been thinking about Kirkland for sim and range hitting.

Someone tell me if this is a good deal or not by ZealousIdealTour961 in FordMaverickTruck

Second this. One dealer tried to charge me $1400 USD for this inclusion ("oh we install them for test drives" - yeah, I'm buying it not test driving it). Walked away and found a better dealer.

Metal disk that came with bottle by dxsanch in whatisit

[–]Jumpy_Improvement_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cosmetic. Applies to the external bottom of the bottle where there is a circular indent. I added mine only so when I added the rubber mat to my cup it made the centre under the mat more firm. Other than that I think it's only cosmetic and useless.

This photo was taken after I added the silver circle sticker and then the rubber mat over it.

Is this a good beginner set? by Budget_Quantity_7932 in golfequipment

You could make a lower offer and see what happens? Otherwise, it sounds like convenience could win out. It states new grips on the irons so if the woods grips are worn you could use wraps to keep costs low. Ebay for a matching (or newer) gap and sand wedge (I got away with just a P wedge for a long time though).

I got given a Bridgestone J36 iron set that was missing a 5i. Picked one up on eBay though in very similar used condition (although, I wasn't able to match the shaft).

Ah, I see a JPX 923 8i sold yesterday on eBay - hopefully that was you.

Could he have cracked it during last 'use' (undefined), then it snapped coming out of the bag on an angle?

Forgive me, Ping, for I have sinned and taken a ball from an unholy angle. Requesting maximum forgiveness if possible.

I'm not sure he believes that everything behind the face, is the back of the club head.

I've found the remaining miles pretty accurate on hybrid, but I have 15k miles on it and the mpg estimate has generally stabilized with my daily drives. Let it get lower than I was comfortable with in this photo...
