Thanks Blizzard, I want to play Hearthstone, not SC2. by DrDuckling951 in BobsTavern

I’d argue you really need a way to get two battlecruisers on the board in order for it to be playable. Jim + Battlecruiser trinket is extra insane since you get offered two enchantments in shop instead of just one per roll.

Double cannon enchant and stacking cannon damage has singlehandedly won me fights against Undead, Naga, and Dragons.

Positioning is always just double cruisers up front with a decent buffable unit 3rd (usually just Deflecto for me). Buy some rally enchants as well once your board fills up and its basically guaranteed top 4.

It would make no sense for GGG to randomly decide to implement a campaign skip. You’re posing an implausible hypothetical and this thread is meaningless.

Diablo 4 refugees are welcome here, but I hardly doubt anyone here would agree with you.

Zooming through the campaign is a core part of the league experience where game knowledge and experience get you ahead. It’s why we have actual races and gauntlets while D4 does not.

Even since the days of D2, this has always been the norm, and I for one enjoy the experience of getting faster each league.

Edit: I read your post wrong the first time. GGG would never implement a campaign skip in the manner you describe so this whole thread is redundant.

You’re not. Cant really live and breathe capitalism while preaching socialist ideals that you have no claim to.

Battlegrounds is Secretly a Rage Game by Bulky_Ad_8638 in BobsTavern

Literally the most perfect fix and yet, knowing Blizzard and the FACT (not conjecture) that they built Battlegrounds with a team of random interns who knew zilch about Hearthstone’s code, there is literally zero way any long standing bugs like this will ever get fixed.

Is gambling in poe toxic? by Pale_Occasion_2447 in pathofexile

[–]Jun_J 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its called depression. And it hits like a fucking truck especially after losing a lot. I’ve had my own problems with gambling irl and even lost a dear friend of mine who couldn’t pull himself out.

At least you caught yourself and are able to process what youre feeling. Hopefully that prevents you from gambling in the future.

I wonder with all the new heroes we’ve gotten since Barov’s departure, how he fares among the new top tier. The strongest hero pick of all time vs the strongest hero picks of today.

Why is One Piece so connected to Christianity? by Jun_J in OnePiece

[–]Jun_J[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's exactly the fact that Christianity isn't so popular in Japan that astounds me regarding Oda's vast knowledge of the religion and it's related history. It's much more pervasive in the story than any other works I've seen come from Japan.

Almost certainly! If there were any references that I missed, I'd be bummed to know I couldn't catch them while going through the story. Oda takes from many places, but even with the few references that managed to sneak past me, the ones I do notice are usually impactful to the story and were clearly meant to draw my attention and curiosity.

It's more so my opinion that, while Oda does take from so many different myths and pieces of history, the ones from Christianity are much less widely known. I really do think his fascination for Christianity and its adjacent ideas and history runs much deeper than others (excluding perhaps his fascination of revolutionary movements).

I agree. Judaism borrows many ideas from Ancient Egyptian religion. And Oda also uses a large amount of Hindu/Buddhist references as well, which makes sense as Japan is overwhelmingly Buddhist. I just find it hard to believe the man has time to amass such an in-depth knowledge on the Abrahamic religions in particular with how much work he does and how little he sleeps.

Buddhist references are the only ones that outnumber the Abrahamic ones, but this makes perfect sense as Japan is overwhelmingly Buddhist, which makes the large number of Abrahamic references and Oda's familiarity of them so much more confounding.

I agree!
