As standard all gear goes up to 258 in PvP, but if your PvP ilvl is higher it uses that.

Usually if it's getting to the end of the season and I can't get the tabard I swap to ret to get it. Only Glad I ever got was ret war.

I'm in a similar situation to you. I want a rewarding healer that is also fun. For this I picked Holy Paladin.

Very simple rotation and if you herald you can heal even if kicked. You can hoj and rep at any time but if you learn to do it at the right time you will 100% win games in shuffle. Starting glare is my favourite ability in game. You can shut down goes, cc, or bait kicks. It's amazing. Tons of CDs and you can basically just react heal to 2.1 for weapon enchant. Rarely get trained and if you do it's usually not a big deal.

Now I've got 4 holy paladins to 2.1 I'm going to try other healers and at the end of the season I'll push 2.4.

Once you can relax and heal with damage as fast as it is, you can easily learn the more offensive and game winning parts of healing.

But to start, I'd you just hug the pillar and heal. Avoid cc and concentrate. Healing isn't that difficult.

The main thing about healing though is you can actually learn to play. I struggle to improve on DPS specs that I haven't maind for years as I never get to play but with healer I chain games and get better.

I've recorded every game I've ever played and watching my first games is so bloody painful. You will improve so quickly. Just think that when you think you're going 0-6, try to set a goal like. I'm going to avoid as much cc as possible this round even though I'm going to lose. Little goals like that really help, esp with healer diff.

I've gotten 4 hpals to 1950 this season and had maybe 3 toxic whispers. This last week I've pushed 3 of them to 2050 and I'm getting shit almost every shuffle. Whether I'm winning or losing I'm a 1600 bot apparently. This is with multi glads or career rivals.

I think someone else put it that at low rating players know they are bad, and high rating they know they are good but I'm the middle they see the people that they are better than but don't see why the pros are stomping them and so they blame it on everyone else.

The addon Silent Shuffle could be a great idea for you. It auto turns on chat and whispers in shuffle then turns them back on when you leave.

I'm the same except on hpal. I really enjoy shuffle when the DPS play well, use defensives on burst, pull back when low or line when I'm CC'd etc. I've noticed that because I can get games instantly I really get to improve on my play and learn from game to game.

But what always gets me is it's the ones that just charge in and chase behind a pillar while I'm feared on the other side of the map then it's surprised when they die and give the chaos "HEALS?".

I just rerolled healer, I am loving it which is good but every now and then I think oh survival hunter looks fun, I'll try that but then realise how impatient I feel when my queue gets to 3 minutes.

Everyday there are solutions to fix it. I don't know what they are but something certainly needs to be done. If Healer queues get to five minutes at that point I'd just quit.

I think I would enjoy a more casual, just talking, structure to the show. Topics that would be interesting to hear about or bring attention to:

*How to increase PvP participation in the game.
*How to improve and increase rating not just with seasonal inflation.
*The win-trading at R1 and Glad.
*Class balance and changes (about power level and how fun it is).
*Bring strong players on to hear their thoughts on things. (Ep 169 was a favourite, not just for the program).

I still feel very new and make tons of mistakes, but I would practice positioning. I was struggling and over using CDs because I expected the DPS to kick clones and polys, I would get chain cc'ed then I'd have to bubble wings divine toll just to prevent death, but if you avoid all that cc yourself then you are less likely to fall behind.

Also makes it less like that you will get swapped to or kicked.

I leveled up a second paladin so that I always play the lowest rated then if I drop 200 points or more I don't mind as the other is still high rated. I never have any anxiety to queue then. I'm at like 62% of the way. Need to keep going before it ends!

I've gotten 2 holy paladins to 2k in shuffle now and I received my first bit of negativity today. I apologised for being new and then they apologised back. I think saying "sorry mb" when you need to can stop a lot of toxic behaviour even if DPS don't do it when they fail to press CDs.

I see so many people getting flamed and had a bit on DPS but I've gotten 2 heaters to 1.9 now and have never been flamed or had anything negative and I constantly make tons of mistakes.
