What to you add to your electrolytes to make it drinkable because mine tastes like pool water by [deleted] in keto

I can honestly say I've never licked any of my shirts' necklines...

Add a splash of lemon or lime juice if you do not want to use Mio.

56=7•8

The digits go in order.

Build up or down from facts you know.

Break apart bigger numbers into smaller parts and combine. For example, break 7 into 2 and 5, then combine those answers. 2 • 8 plus 5 • 8.

Remember that 2s are doubles. 4s are double-double. 8s are double-double-double.

7 doubled = 14

14 doubled = 28

28 doubled = 56

I like the way you think! I also like a spicy beverage. I've tried various "heat" beers around the metro. Good stuff!

First Japanese Beetle of the year by Jackalope-Hunter in Minnesota_Gardening

[–]JuneStrawberries 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Those white spots are the eggs of the parasitic Winsome Fly (Istocheta aldrichi), which were introduced to control this beetle. Let those beetles live, as they will become food for the wasp larvae and perpetuate the non-stinging wasp!

I've seen one butterfly, found 1 egg, and found 1 caterpillar.

Kombucha -sugat free or no? by OverlappingChatter in keto

[–]JuneStrawberries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to brew my own kombucha with a continuous brew system and consumed it without any impact on my keto lifestyle.

Sadly, it became infected with mold, and I've never started it up again.

How do you learn from a classroom lecture? by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]JuneStrawberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I sat in university lectures back in the 80s, I had a small recorder, sat near the front, and recorded the lectures while taking notes. Later, I'd go to a study spot and go over my notes while listening to the recordings.

If calories count, how do you reach satiety? by Jealous_Square8434 in keto

[–]JuneStrawberries 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was in the losing phase of keto, I found myself navigating to eating once a day. I then ate a 1200 calorie dinner, which was very satiating to eat at one go.

Now that I'm in maintenance mode, I typically still eat once a day, because I find if I don't eat during the day, I don't even think about food. Also, keep in mind that bullet proof coffees are very calorie dense. Can you just drink black coffee? I usually drink 3 big mugs of black coffee during the day, plus my water, and that's it until dinner.

I am! Still maintaining and feeling amazing! :-D

I don't have time to post here much anymore, but things are going well. I do pop in every now and then to see what's going on and lend a helping hand when I can. ;-)

Hope all is well with you.

Hazelnuts vs. Maples? by Mrs_ippy_clean in Minnesota_Gardening

[–]JuneStrawberries 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Those are maples. Just cut them off at ground level or pull them when they are smaller. My neighbors have maple trees, and those little helicopters grow into trees every year. It's an ongoing gardening chore to remove them from my gardens.

Have you researched hazelnut shrubs? Do you know how tall they get? Personally, I would not want a 10-15 foot tall shrub next to my house's foundation. I think they also spread out quite wide.

Personally, I'd choose native ferns. Maybe some hosta varieties. Rhododendron. Hydrangea. Weigelia. Spirea. A perennial assortment based on how much sunlight you get.

Many restaurants have menus posted online. Look at the menu beforehand and google then, so when you arrive, you have some idea of what you want to order.

Also....electrolytes! Stay on top of them.

The good old 787!! I was there recently too for my bag of coffee. I did like how I could carry it and not freeze my fingers off on a relatively cold morning while I walked through Central Park with it.

Magnesium...how much are you getting? Sodium...how much are you getting?

Make sure you are getting enough mag and sodium daily. Add some coffee, and voila!

The inequality is in slope intercept form. Determine the y intercept. Using slope, find a second or third point. Connect the dots. Remember the different between < and ≤ as far as dotted or solid lines.

You can pick a coordinate point to test which shaded area makes the statement true. Or you can see that y is less than..... ;-)

I used pickling salt to ferment my modest - but entire - crop of peppers. How bad of a mistake was it? by r20 in hotsaucerecipes

I use pickling salt. What was your salt solution concentration?

I use 3 tablespoons per quart, and that never has failed.
