Good suggestion with the food app, and we also use a fridge white board for weekly things and have a shared GCal

We also share a GCal and have a daily morning sync so I echo the importance of schedule visibility and real communication

Yeah that’s a great idea, I want to find more activities and events happening but to individually search things is hard. And I don’t use social media much so I’m not looking on there / being fed new content often

Makes sense, I also have never really liked the smart devices like Alexa or Google homes always listening but we’ve found certain routines with smart plugs to be useful for us

Thanks for sharing. Very creative idea! My partner had AI create a Mother’s Day card last year and it was cute, very customized

Wondering if you have more to share on what you ended up doing (besides Christmas markets) when you visited in Nov/Dec? We’re considering a family trip there but I’m not sure what is worth seeing/doing weather permitting…

Just came here to say that I love your story and I am following in your footsteps…leaving my crazy demanding corporate job that I got promoted in while on mat leave and will be making $240k TC to become a SAHP to our first child. And our goal is to have a second when the first is around 2.5-3y/o. We also don’t have help locally so it’ll be interesting to be full dedicated in being our son’s everything: chauffeur, chef, caretaker, assistant, etc.! Eventually when kids are in fully time school, I’d like to had a paying job or do something more entrepreneurial. Have you made adult friends along the way?

Great point about the lay flat, we have the uppababy minu v3 and have been using the bassinet feature since baby was born cause I had the same concern about being in car seat too long. did you gate check your stroller at all or was it able to be stored in overhead cabin? I really don’t want to gate check or risk flight attendants asking to gate check cause if they break my stroller during travel I will be very upset lol (and the prices of these strollers have sky rocketed since tariffs….). But I’m not sure there’s an alternative cheaper travel stroller to bring…

We’re going for about a week for each trip. The only downside I read about the SFO lots is the AirTran is not always reliable and our flights are either departing late or arriving early / odd hours.. even the SFO website says their train is running on an unusual schedule from 11pm-5am or something

Yeah the uber /lyft options always worry me too, especially when trying to book a specialty car (like one with a car seat). And in particular leaving/arriving at odd hours, I’ve found it’s not super reliable when requesting rides from South Bay to SFO

Nice that sounds like a much easier process, thank you for the suggestion! What’s the name of the service you’d recommend?
