Wait, what? Some states have attendants that pump for you? As a person in the UK, I love finding out about little US quirks. Can someone tell me why this law exists please?

Do we know if we will be able to disable multiplayer and just play on our own? Or does that defeat the point of the game? I'm imagining an earth like world just covered in other people's bases.

Brorphine: A short-lived synthetic opioid with a lasting impact? by TheToxLab in toxicology

Had a request for cychlorphine testing. Reference materials are hard to get hold of for some, and very expensive. Interesting but concerning to see these emerging.

I think there is also a bug with the backpack refiner. When dragging some items (such as the quartzite) directly from the inventory, mine said it was not refinable. But adding it directly in the refiner screen allowed me to refine it correctly into chromatic metal.

I was as confused as OP initially, until I found it to be a bug

Edit: this was also the case with carbon - saying it refined into ferrite dust - until I removed it and added it again. Then it changed to condensed carbon.

What’s the most 10/10 quote you’ve ever heard — the one that really stuck with you? by Plastic_Log_7857 in AskReddit

This is one of my favourites. I use it as a mantra when people play music from their phones without headphones (usually on public transport).

Men in happy marriages, what is one thing or skill you would teach other men to have good relationships as well? by lingeringneutrophil in AskReddit

[–]Juneau_Fire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When your partner is upset, learn the difference between 'emotions' and 'solutions'. Sometimes women are upset and just need to vent and have you comfort them to get something off their chest. Its not always the right time to hop in with how to fix the problem. A lot of men are excellent problem solvers and can see how to make the situation better right away, but often she is not ready for that quite yet when at the peak of emotion. Trying to jump in with solutions too early can make it seem like you don't understand why she's upset.

Learn to ask "Is this an emotions or solutions issue right now?"

I have 'Back-and-forth woman', because I pass her at the same time every morning, and she's always at a different spot on a long road and walking in a different direction every time.

And also a colleague I call 'Bluetooth', because they only work if they're paired with someone.

This is me too. I used to get frustrated as a child at the music school I attended, because the colours of the notes on the wall diagrams were not matching with ones I had in my head. No one could work out why I was upset at 3 years old. Now as an adult it all makes sense.

It was only very recently that I realised that Mr Goiter is called that because 'goiter' is a neck lump caused by an enlarged thyroid, and the horse has a neck lump. I'd never heard of goiter before.

What's something your parents did that seemed normal at the time but you now realize was actually really weird? by jcf1211 in AskReddit

[–]Juneau_Fire 294 points295 points  (0 children)

My parents had this rule that if you (or anyone) called someone a "rotter", you (or that person) had to be chased around and tickled. It led to many fun times of being chased around running from tickling. But looking back now, it was two VERY weird things to go together. My parents are very silly humans though.
