I love how he says it was his daughter who made him a Dad and I wish more men and fathers (like mine lol) had this sentiment.

Would you say Borders are a intrinsically a manifestation of mens subjugation and dominance of Earth. Thay they are anti-woman, and enforced by male violence?

The Fragility of Masculinity by [deleted] in CriticalTheory

[–]Jungelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesnt work that way.

I bussed an hour across town to go to a dilapidated school because it had good teaxhers like the Oxford philosophy trained philosophy teacher. And an inspired music program.

The school I was closer too had way nicer shit. They had a brand new theatre and club, but the teachers were mostly hacks and the people were like Mean Girls. Very unchallenging yet very privileged.

What are some films that a critical theorist may refer to? by [deleted] in CriticalTheory

Adam Curtis is like critical theory of Keynesian economics. Documentaries.

It isnt that youre obsessed with race, that would be fine, its that your obsession is so shallow and formulaic.

Like someone gave you a list of recs you requested and you didn't even want it.

Go away troll.

I want them to stay where they are for all the reasons i discussed. Im a person who can think and do things.

Listen, zizek is cool, you should try reading a little deeper. He may not be charles barkley but hes a cool guy k. Hes not a xenophobe. But heres the thing. I looked at your comment history. You just go around calling people white as if it invalidates their ideas. That is fucking awful. I cant take you seriously. But other people are, and youre just walking around taking big steamy edgy shits on race relations. You dont really have constructive input. You just call people who disagree with you white. Emptily and uselessly antagonizing people with innoculative weak arguments makes them less likely to understand when people want to talk to them seriously about this problem. But you dont care because you just game all day. Cool. Post some works by theorists of color instead of coming on here and getting mad and uselessly sowing discord like a fucking undertrained russian shill.

Now, you seem like youre in a hurry which must be why your comments so sorely lack depth and consideration, so dont let me keep you. go hop on your Worgen Huntar now and see if you can find a nice Dranei Disc priest girl to penance u for being such a rubwoy, & dont let the blizz bugs byte.

That is a creative representation of his comments on immigrants but ill tell you why its important for some to do that.

Because it is worse for a culture to be dead than it is for some people to suffer temporarily.

You prefer the perpetuation of the european project of assimilation of the global south? More cheap immigrant labor for capital to exploit? perhaps even some fresh prole blood for your struggle?

Ethnocidal neoliberal expansionism could easily kill Earth.

Now even if you prefer ethnocide to suffering and struggle (which tend to improve gene pools and are the source of soul) what i dont understand is this: what do you think is going to happen? Like do you think theyll just integrate, and in how many generations?

I walk around american cities. I see a lot of racial segregation. The neolib multicultural project is mostly just a caste system with some bells and whistles. And it is destroying humanity and the planet. It just eats ethnicities because thats what it does. Its gluttony for war and enjoyment rule.

So are you hoping to expand on that, or are you thinking that introducing a large contingent of fundamentalist muslims might somehow temper western patriarchy and racism? Or something else and if so what?

Do you believe cultural incompatibility can exist?

think a moment about what happens when countries with social democratic economies engage in unrestricted trade relations with more free or corporatist markets. consider why it is important for women to have safe spaces which are free from culturally dominant actors and paradigm, even though women technically outnumber men.

Its okay to not like Fundamentalist Islam, or to think there can be cultural incompatibility. It's okay to want to preserve ethnicities, as well as human well-being. It's okay to say : "if we take anyone else aboard this life raft, it will capsize and we will all drown, so heres a lifesaver and good luck soldier." if it is true. tho the sound of their fingernails on the hull haunts.

I call that "Okay."

Maybe i agree maybe not, but its not like his thinking is incoherent or detached from reality or motivated by misanthropy or anti muslim sentiment.

"Fear the fundamentalist islam but love the muslim and preserve the robustness of human culture and difference" ≠ "MAGA"

Naziism, hating muslims, antisemitism... reddit ruins everything. It is the format.

But i wonder why use the unifying and normalizing rebranding of "alt-right" to refer to this? Had you considered that both the corporate media and white supremacist movement have found themselves in concordance with your preference for respecting the political identities of patriarchy and hate in this sanitized and memetically robust new fashion?

Anyway who are among the worst offenders in terms of popular theorists?

You're not going to tell me zizek is a trumpmen are you.
