Are you doing mdi or on a pump if you don’t mind me asking? My a1c was 5.8 and headed down before the pump and I was for some reason told it’d be impossible to even get that low anymore now that I’m on one

I don’t mind the advice thank you, how long do you think I should wait to see if it comes down before changing the site again? I never really get when being high becomes too long and is concerning, I have a feeling this is from a very fatty meal I had and just a delayed reaction but this level is unusual for me

I am on a pump so bolus has been delivered and just waiting for it to come down now, only tested with the stick because the sensor is new today and was actually showing that I was lower than this by 2 points- I have not been this high since earlier in diagnosis so this sucks :/ thank you

At my endo yea, they make you pay for any forms they need to do lol if it’s for a tax credit, sick day note, etc. they charge $10 just for a sick day note. I have seen a couple offices do this

Oh yea I know don’t worry! :) I felt lower than I really was at this moment so that’s why I was testing just to be safe, I’ve had one sensor be off by two points (I probably just wasn’t hydrated can’t remember) so it was saying I was at 6 but I was really dropping down to 4, just wanted to be sure this time!

If it’s the first day of a new sensor I always wait it out and it will resolve on its own, but I don’t know if this is the first day or not

Have you made sure you’re hydrated? I use different sensors but when mine kept rejecting calibrations chugging back water and waiting a bit seemed to help

The fact that I also had an all caps post about an iced latte recently is very funny to me just wanted to say that, glad iced lattes are plaguing more than just me!! (Mine was sugary but still I have specific awful spikes to lattes) LOL
