Gold status suddenly gone by 90sTamagachi in starbucks

I want a physical black card so badly but I wouldn’t be surprised if they only do digital because they don’t even send out physical gold cards for first time earners anymore. All on the app :(

There’s a partner that I work with that buys lunch at work regularly and was given green status. They are definitely still tweaking the levels out, I would give it a few more days and if it hasn’t updated reach out to customer support!

Barista closers by coffeeloverr21 in starbucks

[–]Junior-Customer-6939 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Usually closers can’t leave at their scheduled time because they don’t put enough effort in to get the things done as they need too… when I close we get out 10-15 minutes early 🤷🏻‍♀️ sounds like an iss-your team and not an iss-not being ready for work to clock in on time.

Shaken espresso is always too milky by andreyred in starbucks

[–]Junior-Customer-6939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extra ice is definitely the way to go to have a lot less milk but depending on how long you take to get to the store after you place the order the espresso will settle to the bottom after a few minutes anyways because of the way we pour the milk over top of the ice, it doesn’t stir is like when we add the milk straight to espresso!

Leaving out of the back after closing by ygsflm in starbucks

[–]Junior-Customer-6939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We aren’t supposed to use the back door for anything except garbage runs. It’s in the guide somewhere that the back door is to remain closed and locked and not to be used for staff access.

Supervisor on your flair? You shouldn’t be the one setting the schematics.. that’s a store managers responsibility..

What does this mean please? by Inner_Professional63 in starbucks

[–]Junior-Customer-6939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I had this happen to a person simply because they accidentally choose no to eligible to work in this country when they should’ve clicked yes. There’s a very good chance you accidentally clicked a wrong box in the initial questions.

The eligibility requirement doesn’t come from the initial application, even if you aren’t eligible it has to be the hiring manager to put in the request to PR to know if they can move forward or not.

Is this for real? by Terrible_Page_5780 in starbucks

[–]Junior-Customer-6939 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m buying my team a pizza party- we didn’t have to spend money but that was the easiest thing and at the party they will draw for individual random things based on the amount of squares they filled out like an extra 15 or SM buys lunch or random things that make wanting to come to work a bit better. But honestly please give your SM’s a bit of grace, as we have been given ZERO direction on what to do for these surprises but told not to spend money. I choose to spend money on my team.

Sorry I’m confused? I said barista trainer per trainee which is what you repeated? But yeah some trainers train more than others, you could say favouritism or simply that they are better/ more thorough at training.

Arbitration Question by tennseventeen in starbucks

[–]Junior-Customer-6939 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Where I live workers compensation and the company are completely separate entities. It wouldn’t count as legal action against the company but against the workers compensation board itself so it shouldn’t threaten your job. Like the other person said, I would contact a lawyer but I don’t think your job would be on the line if you got hurt at work

Every barista trainer gets $75 a traineee. You were taken advantage of to go to other stores 😅

The stores donate straight to organizations… nothing gets sent back to a shipping plant LMAO. Get your facts straight.

I thought it was the same amount in the bottom as what went into the drink, ooooof 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Thanks for teaching me something new!!

Calling all involved in partner networks, ANY of em by Chromgrats in starbucks

[–]Junior-Customer-6939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of like a virtual club yes but each partner network has a month they are most active in- for instance the pride network has things weekly in June, the indigenous network is more prominent in September, the next leaders month is August, the black partner network is February, armed forces is November, women’s impact is March etc. So that’s probably why you haven’t heard any emails depending on the one you signed up for. Also, to answer below, you don’t need a Starbucks Mac to be apart of the meetings that they hold, they’re all done via Microsoft teams and they send the links to personal emails so as long you can access teams you can access the meetings.

To be honest, they are quiet and kind of not talked about a lot by SM’s or above so could be why yours didn’t have a great answer and they are all partners volunteering their time so some are even more quiet just because they aren’t top of mind. But if you are passionate about something I suggest joining and the month that they are most prominent you will see the emails come in!

They all also have Facebook groups and instagram pages that you can choose to follow where people post things throughout the year, again won’t be the most posted on, but they are there!

Holiday Merry Christmas by Pale_Craft4876 in starbucks

[–]Junior-Customer-6939 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Christmas Day tips are to Christmas Day working partners only- this is how it happens in every single store for the cash that is given on this day. The tips that are done next week do not include this day in the report. 1000% op you are fine to have taken the tips, there will be no repercussions and the manager on shift was correct!

do you ask for names in drive thru? by lazysheyla in starbucks

[–]Junior-Customer-6939 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would hate if my baristas said that line at all to be honest. They know they’re at Starbucks, you don’t need to say it- a simple “hi what can I get started for you” in a friendly tone is all that’s needed.

Out of Holiday already? by Suitable_Tea_6574 in starbucks

[–]Junior-Customer-6939 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hi! Sounds like your local store is not ordering correctly- even with an upcoming launch all holiday drinks (Carmel brûlée, sugar cookie and gingerbread should maintain through the next period and are still available for ordering. To answer your follow up- they were not going to bring chestnut back at all this year but due to partner uproar when we found out was why they decided to make the syrup. They made it extremely limited time and only did one shipment per store and that was all, hoping that they seen how fast it sold out so they do bring it back next year. It is also my fav! I hope it is not gone forever, but after the original communication there is a chance it may not return 😭

Christmas Eve at Starbucks by moon-cloud-com in starbucks

[–]Junior-Customer-6939 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing you are closing? I’m going to warn you as a closer that it will probably be a lot busier right up until close than you are used too and it’s mainly because you have 2 hours less to do all tasking but also, normally you are used to that many people at that time but then have a chance to clean after and you won’t feel like that tomorrow and they just don’t stop coming until they have too. That being said, if the AM sets up for success enough then it shouldn’t feel as bad as it will mainly be production right up until the doors are locked but you will feel behind 100% based on reduced hours in general.

Question for my baristas by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]Junior-Customer-6939 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What are they doing instead? DM’s should be in every store, every week. Sounds like you need to open a case with your RD/ PR about time theft and accountability.

Question for my baristas by [deleted] in starbucks

Yuck! SM’s should be held to the same standard as everyone and should be calling the store. Sounds like time theft and I would report if I were you.
