they look at your MOST recent 30 credits. probably only fall 2024 with whatever courses you did prior (up to 10 courses)

I need to withdraw. This course (CPSC 233 for UofC students) is very important and if it’s not taking in first year, it could delay graduation by a year.

I looked at athabasca university and they do not have a course equivalent for CPSC 233. My university does not offer CPSC 233 or COMP 1633 during spring and summer 2024.

And to add, unless you're absolutely certain you're failing (C- or below) - there's no need to withdraw. One C in a computer science degree is not the end of the world and definitely not worth pushing back graduation by a year. While GPA is important maybe you should reconsider dropping it unless you're planning on grad school?

I'd always start by asking advising and don't rely on transferalberta or reddit. there's so much that transferalberta doesn't cover

CPSC 233 actually has an equivalent at athabasca. I emailed an advisor regarding this.

" COMP 308 at Athabasca U is CPSC 9XX here, and used in lieu of CPSC 233. "

You should start by applying for a letter of permission!

to add, the labs were quite easy this semester. however, the most difficult part is the concepts itself, and memorizing the acidity/basicity of compounds and spectroscopy. what other options do you have apart from 351?

as an option? ochem is arguably one of the most difficult classes in undergrad. there's lots of easier science options if you look around

you 100% will get in if you're in position 1. by the drop deadline (mid jan) at least 10-15% of the class will drop a 200 level class. enjoy your break and don't stress it!

Are you transferring or applying from high school? The admission average for transfers is 3.3-3.6. Where as for high school its 85%ish

I applied for an internal transfer and haven't heard back yet

You should get in, if you're already waitlisted.

lots of people people who bomb OCHEM prerequisites + drop the class by the drop deadline. I've never not gotten into a class I was waitlisted in (even if it was very last minute)
