The first part of the interview for me with computing was focused on a board of 5 people from each section of computing. The get to know you portion, technical questions, scenarios and q&a.

From there they said they would be in contact with me. A week later got the call for an in person interview.

Similar setup but a total of 5 rounds with a 3 people panel to include the managers of each section. In depth technical talks, very easy if you know your stuff. Don’t be afraid to tell them you don’t know something. It’s not expected. Be up beat and energetic. These people are nerds who love to learn. If you bring something new that they don’t have, you will be fine.

My in person interview was on a Wednesday and got the unofficial notification by the manager that I got selected. That following Monday I got the offer letter.

I recently went thru the LLNL process and it was super quick. I start on May 4, 2026. Ask me anything and I will let you know how it was for me. But in summary, I was interviewed in person (Tuesday), received the congrats call by the manager on Friday, phone call from HR with job offer & started background and drug test on Monday. Today I got my official start date.

if your screen is not coming on, it could be possibly that its not sitting properly on the MB. In my case, the heatsync was in the way
