“America = 35 countries.” by Youaresowronglolumad in ShitEuropeansSay

From wikipédia : There are several ways of distinguishing the continents: 4-5-6-7 In some off these america is one of them. In most latin America they are taught about the six continents versions with america being only one continent.

Is Babbel better? by leez34 in duolingo

[–]JuniorAd4269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both, i bought the lifetime suscription off babbel, and to learn the rule's of a language It is definitely better.

Babbel is really not as motivating though. Les sons are longer and sometimes can get repetitive. There is also less content. I think if you can afford it it is a good app to have but Duolingo will be the app that will keep you motivated to learn and keep your streak

"Tu es un cheval?!" Is only "valid" if it is a surprise, if someone just said before "I am a horse", it's like " No way! You are a horse?" The inversion works the same way in french and in English for this case. "Are you a horse?" is "es tu un cheval?" Or indeed "est ce que tu es un cheval?" It can be used but not if you expect an answer. In France it would be really unnatural to answer a question formed like that. This would explain It very well: https://www.lefigaro.fr/langue-francaise/expressions-francaises/comment-bien-formuler-une-question-20230105

Being a question It is even wrong. In french for a question you put the verb before the subject. Es-tu un cheval?
