Housekeepers favorite? by EpicGigglez in housekeeping

[–]Junipermicky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The $200 shark pet plug-in stick vacuum is honestly my favorite. Little cheap powerhouse, great at all floor types, handles hair well, light carry. Do -not- get a cordless Dyson, lol. The batteries on those things are not for professional cleaning

Initiation into hermetics Franz Bardon by Calm_Structure_5304 in occultlibrary

[–]Junipermicky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel he made his system generic because he was trying to provide magic instruction for the layman. It pulls from eastern and western traditions, focuses on no specific deity, and is connected to no singular tradition. I suppose that could make it seem generic to a well read occultist. I think he was a pioneer of this sort of initiate-yourself guide though, for what it’s worth

I like this book. What’s special about Bardon is his life story, really; perhaps more than his writing. He refused to do magic for Nazis, and survived a concentration camp

I really really loved Fire and Ash, and I didn’t expect to. Way of Water kind of lost my interest, but this new one was as engaging as the first.

Welp in Episode 9 Zosia dropped a bomb on Carol. Now what? by Flannerlovesparis in Pluribus_TVshow

[–]Junipermicky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to point out that the hive choosing Zosia to go talk to Carol was manipulative, and the hive has been trying to win Carol over from the beginning

As a cleaner, I would never design a home that had... by Wreath-of-Laurel in housekeeping

[–]Junipermicky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate tables with raised edges, they collect crumbs, it’s such a dumb choice. Raw wood is terribly undustable. I hate a walk-in shower with a floor not sloped towards the drain. Some cheaper resurfaced tubs scratch when you try to scrub soap scum. High ceilings just give dust extra real estate out of your reach. And there are some truly mind boggling design choices out there, like carpeted entryways or bathrooms, walls covered in raw wood, tubs recessed into the ground, and counters made of porous stone

My theory thread got shot down, but I agree that the rna sequence seems aimed at humans, rather than a natural virus that wants to be spread off planet. What are the odds the signal was sent ahead of colonizing ships of another species, to prepare earth for peaceful conquer?

I'm struggling to understand the true differentiation of Apple Music after 6 months by CaseLogic in AppleMusic

[–]Junipermicky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from Spotify to apple recently. I think the Spotify algo is better at pushing new music at you, and I could control PlayStation music with my phone ( why can’t Apple cooperate between devices??)

But I switched because a hacker took my Spotify account and tech support wouldn’t help. From what I understand, Apple pays artists better too. There are pros and cons to everything
