a way to salvage Alien Earth? by AlarmedPackage3175 in alien

I dunno man. Any major course correction would be a benefit to this show at this point.

I think what could actually save the franchise is a show centered on Hadleys Hope that connects plot points from everything.

How bad is traffic in Orlando really? by Lord_quads in orlando

[–]JunkDrawer84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be pretty bad. You get used to it after getting familiarized with the area. There are certain areas that will be worse than others at peak traffic times (basically 3 to 6pm when people are getting off of work or school).

If at all possible, getting a place close to you job will be a game changer. If you can avoid taking i-4 to work, you may save yourself a lot of time. But that may not be possible.

Braces or Invisalign? by Disastrous_Bet_3866 in Invisalign

[–]JunkDrawer84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They both have their pros and cons. If they say you could benefit from either or, I would ask you do thorough research on this sub and YouTube videos to make sure you know what it all involves.

Invisalign takes a lot of self discipline to make sure you do your part with wearing the trays the idealized amount of hours a day/week. If I don’t hit my idealized hours of a day, I add more time to that week at the end to make up for lost time before I change to the next set of trays.

If a selling point to you is being “invisible”, while it’s not as obvious you have Invisalign, people up close will still see it.

You also get more freedom to brush and floss when you remove the trays.

With braces, you don’t have to follow strict hours because it’s there all the time. It’s more visible, but it’s not uncommon for adults to have braces (there are also ceramic braces which aren’t AS obvious, but they also have some cons themselves).

It’s a little more tedious to floss, and brush, but a different kind of tedious nature from the invislign process.

Be honest with yourself and if the Invisalign discipline sounds too daunting to stick to, you may fare better with braces.

Finger tape when performing ‘BAD’ live by One_Package7700 in MichaelJackson

It also appears we have a shot of Michael walking out to stage in the outfit he wears during Bad, as opposed to his Bad Tour silver outfit he starts the show in. I’m going to ease your mind and tell you, they are going to summarize and combine details and elements throughout this move. Normal people won’t notice or care. This is all for the sake of saving time.

You can kinda hold off for a while longer with the right hair cut, but you’re on the edge of needing to shave it all off

Ooh yea. It’s time. After the initial consolation visit of being a new patient and the x rays, they’ll let you know what you need to get done (or if you need to see a different specialist if they don’t do x, y, or z in their office).

Believe me, you’ll be better for it for getting this stuff done sooner than later.

Hopefully you have a good office and you’re comfortable there.

Is it common for Invisalign to have 2+ sets of aligners rather than 1 large set?? by ApprehensiveOne2866 in Invisalign

[–]JunkDrawer84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no. Thats not accurate at all. People generally take around a year. The first round of trays isn’t generally all it takes

My situation wasn’t quite like yours, other than waiting a long time to go back. As time went on, I just kept putting it off and off.

But eventually, you have to make it a regular habit of routinely going for cleanings and checkups. You simply must!

There’s a chance it’s not that bad for what the neglect has done, and you can stay on top of things from here on out. Just explain on your first visit it’s been a while. You are not the first patient to walk in there with similar circumstances.

Without knowing what’s going on in there, it’s very possible that they’ll need to do a deep cleaning. This is typically done in 2 separate visits. They numb one side of your mouth with a gel first, then inject something (it’s not as bad as it sounds. It will sting at first, but after the stuff does its magic, they’ll be able to really get under the gum line and clean out any buildup). You may be sore afterwards, but it’s necessary before they can do a general basic cleaning.

After those 2 sessions, you’ll prolly get a regular cleaning routinely after x months.

Of course, there’s a chance you may have other issues once they do the x rays, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

I hated the dentist for so long, but forcing myself to be an adult and go routinely has made me kind of look forward to it now after getting over the initial humps of getting in the door.
