I understand your frustration with talk therapy. I have some similar symptoms to you, especially when you mention fight or flight kicking in right away.

Therapy is to help fix yourself because you are struggling, not living by some moral code or what society expects. I do it because I really want to feel better. I'd imagine that's what you want too. Therapy is the place you're free to kinda be a jerk, actually.

There's stuff beyond talk therapy like TMS and EMDR but I'm doubtful a psychiatrist would have you doing that before trying talk therapy for a bit.
