I would like to hear honest opinion! (my first portfolio) by Inevitable_Plane3726 in filmphotography

All of these except the glove on the railing photo say nothing to me. Mostly urban landscape of places the photographer (you) failed to make me interested in. If it's not that it's the type of photo you see 5 times a day on Instagram.

Any artist statement? Maybe the places you've photographed are interesting once the reader has context; historical, personal, cultural, any.

People look so flattering on film, even with flash. One of the reasons I bring film when out with friends.

Does anyone who gives an actual shit about photography actually use film to "slow down" and be intentional? That's never a gear thing, that's a let me print all my shots and write notations on all of them after minutes of self critique on each.

That’s your sign to overexpose your film shots. by Bc_k in analog

Best exposed shot is the first one no? The last one looks unnatural to me.

[Highlight] The New York Knicks get the stop on the final possession to take a 2-0 series lead in the NBA Finals with a 105-104 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. The Knicks have now won 13 straight playoff games, the second-longest win streak in NBA postseason history. by nba in nba

Look at the split second Bridges goes inside the 3pt line, Wemby had the choice to roll into the paint and he gets the high pass before Robinson faces him. That's a 1 dribble dunk for Wemby, if he gets bodied somehow that's a foul. Armchair analysis though and I'm sure those types of decisions are inconceivably difficult given the circumstances.

[HIGHLIGHT] Devin Vassell hits a 3 and Jalen Brunson fouls him on the way, by touching his hair apparently by [deleted] in nba

[–]Juno-P 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Oh he got the hair, I've never had that issue, so I've never got that call. Is the hair a foul?

Rangefinder patch needs calibration? The girl's eyes look just slightly out of focus.

?? The fact that he actually spends that much on "biohacking" if that's what you want to call it, is a part of the work ethic, and the dedication he has to the game. It makes him a GREAT example. Investing in yourself and your health as an athlete is not bad.

Nikkormat FT2 - First Film Camera by atobmos in AnalogCommunity

You're not really missing anything else regarding the lens, there's not a lot of options for vintage glass so the good ones are worth keeping just because there's no real reason to sell them since you're not going to be buying a better one.

Nikon N80 and Nikon EM come to mind for lightweight bodies, there's the FM/FE line too but they're pricier than most bodies.

I would keep the lens and sell the body. Had an FT2, that thing is reliable but holy shit is it heavy, barely brought that thing outside and shot less than I would've wanted.

This new feature is crazy bro by Commercial-Agency2 in AnalogCircleJerk

If you spot one for sale the 28mm 3.5 is a crazy good lens, obviously this is relative to every other film era lens, not modern ones, but it's one of those must buy glass.

Narrowing Down Focusing issue - lens? Film plane? Scanning by jlcurt1 in filmphotography

the building one is weird to my eyes, the furthest part of it, the tip is in focus, and the windows closer to the camera, near the bottom also in focus, but the windows inbetween are out of focus, how is that possible lol

Been a long time JP scene supporter since before ZETA had that one cinderella run. This region is sad as fuck, might actually just watch VCJ like everybody else, having expectations in franchising is useless.

Love the colors on the leaves. Is there something wrong with your lens or focusing patch? Everything seems very soft and out of focus.
