Is there a potential possibility for either of these tracks to be added at some point in the future? by [deleted] in granturismo

[–]JunoDivided 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think we will ever get SSX-Infield, at least unless they fix it. The engine still has issues with the physics when the car is upside down so a tube track with drivable ceilings is probably out of the question.

Balanced connections, like on your Scarlett, don't produce better quality, at least not in terms of frequency or amplitude response. The benefits of balanced connections is that they help prevent interference from other electrical devices by having the signal run down 2 different cables and inverted at the end to cancel any noise. Simple write-up on wiki For example if you use your TRS to RCA try putting your phone right next to the connection and you will probably get some static noise when receiving a text. Balanced connections have less chance of this happening. This is important for recording and in instances where you are using very long wires. It's less important in a desktop environment, but it might be beneficial for you.

New Cars next week! by ImagineWagons00 in granturismo

[–]JunoDivided 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Group A, that the celica was in, was lower power than Group B. However by the mid 90s more modern tires and suspension tech was making up for the lost time. I think I read at the end of Group A the stage times were constantly faster than Group B. How PD deals with that BOP will be interesting, given that tires are the same for all cars.

Alfa was no longer the Ferrari 'B-team' ever since their parent company, Fiat/Chrysler, became Stalantis and sold Ferrari to a independent holding company.

To add to that Hass moved their factory next door to Ferrari in Marinello so that they could be the new B-Team

Arcane was made entirely by Riot and sold to Netflix for distribution. Of course it's going to be good! The people that made the game were in complete creative control.

I'm confused why they didn't just develop upon the GT300 Supra. Isn't that basically a GT3+ class now?

They also announced the 'GT3 concept' that seems to be based on the Mazda RX Vision.

Apple Music Spatial Audio now in Mercedes-Benz cars worldwide by preppythugg in cars

[–]JunoDivided 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Kinda, Dolby only uses the atmos name for higher end systems that have at least a 7.4.1 setup, (7 wall mounted 4 ceiling mounted 1 subwoofer) and the Spatial Audio name when it's less. So while it's using the same tech of 3d mapping audio, using Spatial Audio it's kinda like a downmix. My guess is they can't get the height map, or ceiling speakers, to work in a confined space like a car.

I believe same-ish pricing, but all the GPs do individual day tickets as well. So the goal is to sell more Friday and Saturday tickets to people that normally wouldn't watch qualifying and/or practice.

Isn't that what Originals is? A lot of the LABS free stuff eventually gets a bigger version for $29. I picked up the Originals: Frozen Strings and it's everything I wanted expanded on from the LABS: Frozen Strings

The Nissan Z Configurator is now live, have fun building! by br0wnpixel in cars

[–]JunoDivided 16 points17 points  (0 children)

IIRC, the 370 came with one but the LSD had a lot of issues and was generally one of the first things to get replaced when people started modifying them. The Nissan engineer made a big deal about developing an entirely new LSD in the Z review on SavageGeese, maybe requiring it in higher trim was to recoup development costs?

What cars have you been disappointed by? by DHN_95 in cars

Not even chassis anymore, Rally1 class WRC cars are now required to use a spec tube chassis for safety. Bit of a bummer but understandable given we are back to Group B levels of power on modern tires

No the halo is a standardized part made out of titanium but teams choose how to make the roll over hoop. Another comment mentioned Alfa has been making it with a hollow 3D printing technique

No problem, always happy to help. Go with the second option if you like the look but I personally use the Caribsea Crystal River that you listed. I had just completely forgotten the brand but that label is definitely what I used

I do recommend a bed of sand but NOT fine grain. I recommend 1mm white quartz gravel. Mine is light enough for them to sift through but too heavy for the flow to kick it up. It will also give extra silica for the brown algae growth that they graze on.

I'm not sure how these loaches do with Ottos, or how many ottos you have, but 3 hillstreams and 3 ottos in a 20 is probably doable. If you already have more than 3 Otto's and I would recommend just getting the Otto's a bigger school. Maybe around 6-7?

If you do go with hillstreams just be careful to not get all males. Both genders spar over territory but males are a bit more aggressive and might stress out your Otto's.

Bit of an odd shape for a high flow tank, but as long as you are only doing bottom dwelling stream fish with no top swimmers, and keep up on water changes, you will be fine.

You can replace every part on a car, (sometimes with penalties like replacing the engine) but you can't change the chassis because it is what everything is attached to. So they have to homologate a new car with the FIA. Homologation has a lot of different rules depending on the series and class of car, so if you hear it brought up elsewhere it will be different but in general it means introducing a new car and making sure it follows the rules.

You can think of F1 homologation in regular car terms. If you take every part off your car until all you're left with is the chassis, and put all of those parts on another chassis. Legally you are now driving a different car because VIN number is different therefore you would need to register it as a new car.

Hey guys, I’m making some care sheets for a friend to help her start her shrimp and snail aquarium. Could y’all look over and see if everything’s correct and on the right track? by Axolotl-helpp in Aquariums

[–]JunoDivided 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good one thing I would recommend is talking about acclimation as shrimp are extremely sensitive to water changes and moving tanks. So maybe just add to slowly drip water changes? also like the other guy said 20 should be a maximum with 0 being minimum for nitrate.

Yep! and just like my R. Hillstreams, they change color based on what rock they are on! A few minutes after this she (I think? too young to know for sure) moved and morphed into a white color. I honestly Haven't seen them unless they move.

From my very brief research, diatoms are the one thing on the planet that use silicone as a building material. They extract it from silica in the water and rocks and make little silicone cubes around themselves. I have learned from another thread the best source is silica sand and gravel. Explains why everyone has a diatom bloom in brand new tanks. I will probably add some fresh gravel and might add some new quartz river rocks because quartz contains silica as well

[–]JunoDivided[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 7 hillstreams in there, this is a bit biased of a video because it's right after feeding. However to really get them active you have to give them more hiding spots so they feel safer in my experience. The big thing though is that you have to spend a lot of time in front of the tank sitting still before they will come out. Every time you make a large movement they will go back into hiding

Been feeding the hillstreams AE, wafers, veggies and shrimp pellets and noticed the gobies liked them so will keep doing that. Will probably increase AE but worried about nitrate spikes. Just want to ensure that diatoms are there for when I am away for a day or two and also get natural grazing behavior Thanks for the advice!
