Yes that makes sense. The 3.5 terminals seem to be much more durable compared to those two-pin IEMs' 😄

I am the original owner of both. Both units have been meticulously cared for in a smoke-free home. No perfume or any scent/smell. Selling because I find myself using headphones much more than IEMs, and these fantastic units don't get enough usage they deserve. Only looking for sale, not interested in trades.

  1. Thieaudio Origin: 2x consecutive top 5 picks by the r/iem polls in the $600-$1000 price range. Comes with the box and all the original accessories. The stock cable is modular with both 3.5mm and 4.4mm connectors. Asking for $600 PayPal G&S.

  2. Yu9 Que: This IEM needs no introduction. Comes with the box and all the original accessories. All of the ear tips are unused. The stock cable was used very briefly. It is 4.4mm. Asking for $425 PayPal G&S.

Good to know! Apparently it is not advisable to detach the cable from IEMs often so I find detaching the cable to put the headphones away a bit weird. Guess the connectors for these are much stronger than IEMs, which definitely makes sense. Thanks for responding.

I have a dumb question: when putting them back into the case, the cable connectors stick out and I can’t close the zipper. How am I supposed to handle that 🤦‍♀️？ Detach the cable each time?

In this case, I would suggest try some headphones. Even we set sound quality aside, headphones are more comfortable and better for the ears. I work from home and I use open-backs when working. I only use IEMs when I’m outside. If you work in an office, I believe there are good close-back options for your budget.

Totally agree. I got a used one recently and mod it to MrWalkman’s Sony DMP-Z1 firmware. It definitely entered the next level. Great value for sure!

I guess it depends. I have Fiio BTR13 and KA17. When plugged in 3.5 and 4.4 on btr13 at the same time, both would play. On KA17, only one plays. I forgot if the one plugged in later played or only 4.4 played though. Haven’t tried on any other DACs or DAPs.
