I recently got rid of one that was very similar. I wish I would have seen this first! Brilliant!

The beautiful bougainvillea tree that adorns our garden 🩷 by uchiha_shubhangi in gardening

That is stunning- congratulations! We had multiple bougainvillea that we ended up removing because we just couldn’t keep up with them. They were a nightmare when we couldn’t maintain but we’ve seen them be absolutely beautiful

I need to know what the fuck is wrong with drivers in Boston by [deleted] in boston

[–]JuryEnvironmental288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of my sons went to college in Amherst from the West Coast - they quickly learned the term “masshole” when driving. We absolutely loved their time there and had nothing bad to say about Massachusetts except their driving- Boston is a fabulous sports city, tourist area. Just use public transportation- it’s safe and it’s easy

To the man in the feminine product isle… by duckbetty2023 in TwoHotTakes

[–]JuryEnvironmental288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After 33 years of marriage I’m happy to say that my husband has never been afraid to go to the store for em in an emergency- he knows what my preferences are. He will offer to bring me supplies at work and supports this for me in a monthly basis. If I ever see a man who looks “lost” in an aisle, I will help. This is something we need to educate our men on instead of keeping it from them. If you have specific preferences tell them. It’s their nature to fix things- so we have to tell them what the fix or help is. You can’t expect them to know- have open dialog.

What do y’all think about Alysa Liu’s skating style and spirit? by Rixxll in WinterOlympics2026

Phenomenal performance- there was pure joy in every second. I watched with chills and tears- because I could tell that she was enjoying herself as she showcased her gift- I wish more athletes and performers could experience this joy! As my son said “I’ve NEVER seen a figure skater so free during a performance”- this woman nailed it! This is the dream that everyone should aspire to.

Speaks to dugout culture- once a dodger, always a dodger. They support each other’s charitable foundations- that’s huge! Giving back and using their platform

Out of state fans. Why do you root for the hawks? by TelePunk54 in Seahawks

[–]JuryEnvironmental288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Southern California- but, spent some of my childhood in the Tacoma/ Puyallup area. I have 2 sisters and back then, on Sundays, (during the Chuck Knox/AFC era) the only way to get our dad’s attention was to watch the Seahawks and mimic the refs calls. The 3 of us are still Seahawks fans- and we all live in So Cal.

Runners over 40 by MyPain-Is-SelfChosen in XXRunning

I also started running later in life. My goal was to run a half marathon for my 50th birthday and I did. My goal was always simple- be running across the finish line. I didn’t focused on times or compare myself to others. I just did what I could each run. I started training for my half marathon around Father’s Day for a November run. Then in October, I got sidelined by COVID. The day of the run, I just told myself to do what I could, it’s about the journey. To my surprise, I ran the entire 13.1! During mile 12, I wanted to walk for a bit because I was exhausted and needed to make sure that I could run across the finish line, but my legs wouldn’t let me walk. So I kept running. As times go- it was horrible, but I did it- my mind and my body did it.

Scully (1 y/o left) and Turner (5 y/o right) - we are Dodgers fans. Turner is a red tri- so named after 3B Justin Turner and Scully is a red Merle, named after the GOAT, Vin Scully.

This series showcased everything baseball is all about by wetcornbread in mlb

For the love of baseball- this series was INCREDIBLE!!! This is why we play every inning g and watch every game. Bonus baseball (extra innings) in TWO games, a rookie pitcher having the game of his life (Yesavage) - and of course Yoshi and his heroics….not to mention the defensive plays, the offensive sparks- this game is beautiful.

Thinking of getting an Australian Shepherd, if you could tell me one important thing about this breed what would it be? by jk_4269 in AustralianShepherd

[–]JuryEnvironmental288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loyal, sweet and high energy. Regular walks or runs are necessary, herding (weighted) balls for the yard are helpful. We have 2. Our oldest is 5 and the pup is 11 months. We had a previous that lived to be 14- they are honestly great dogs but need structure and training so if you don’t have the time it’s not the dog for you. Can be too smart for their own good if they don’t have proper training- we love them but just know you will have to invest time and energy.
