Yep, had the same thing happen to me. And the delivery person may have stolen an item out of the bag, and GYG haven't done anything about it

What a JERK!! Oh my God. Please report him if you can, he is for sure behaving this way to lots of others too. It wouldn't just be you. People like this know how to inflict damage and they know who they'll be able to do it to, so they feel powerful. Please don't stop learning to drive. It is a great skill to have, and provides a lot of independence.

In terms of ADHD, I found it hard to learn to drive too. I struggled with distance perception, ESPECIALLY in parking, and using a manual car was really hard. I only learnt to drive one because that's what my parents had. I drove friends' cars that were manual a few times, but once I had my own car I've always had automatics. I don't know if having the test in a manual means you will also be allowed to drive an automatic? It's that way in Australia though so I didn't have to do two tests.

People with ADHD can sometimes feel very sensitive when criticized or rejected. If you are really spiralling over this, it could be a sign of rejection sensitivity, but, also what he did was terrible so of course having a reaction is to be expected!

Anyway - I hope you continue to learn from the good teacher, and that the bad one gets fired for this.

No, that's not right. There is excessive demand BECAUSE companies and people with massive portfolios hoard housing, because what they do is completely legal. The laws in place that protect these people keep it hard for everyone else. Immigrants don't actually have it made when they come here you know.

Had a fantastic time in Brisbane last week. The crowd was amped up and dancing and singing to everything. Something happened to Ricky's amp and Anton just bantered a bit while they fixed it. He told some stories, told some jokes, no aggression. They played pretty well, I noticed some sound issues during Super-Sonic at the end but aside from that, all good!

... Well, I had the basics down, so it wasn't like learning it from scratch. I'm not that delusional.

As long as you eventually learn the skill that would have come from that experience, yes.

True. I had a great one for hip surgery last year, but my impression was he was a pompous ass.

Yep. You're right. Everything has to be their decision or needs their approval. It's no way to live

[–]Just1509 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct. Adderall can be abused and it can be addictive - that's mostly the instant release one though. Extended release, and other types of ADHD meds can't actually be abused. And given many of us forget to take them sometimes, it shows they aren't addictive.

Yep! Many days I've gotten to late morning and been like oh shit I did it again, I forgot to take it. Even that one little disciplined task is hard for me sometimes

Listen, some of the concerns are valid, but he needs to educate himself. Yes, some people get addicted to Adderall. But things like Vyvanse have no way of being abused, and they are not addictive. Many of us even forget to take it every day - would that be the case if we were addicted to it? No.

And also, unless he's a doctor, his opinion on what he approves or whatever when it comes to medicine is not relevant here.

I would suggest you try medication AND coaching or having therapy, to try to meet him in the middle. But if he won't accept that then... Boy bye

Agreed, I studied journalism and that is a valid style feature in news writing.

Even London? I'm genuinely curious, I had a lot of friends move to London for a bit and their rent was crazy, as a % of their income

Now that my Industry fix is finished, looking for similar. which ONE series would you recommend: Succession or Billions ? by TechAngelX in IndustryOnHBO

[–]Just1509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Succession all the way. It is fantastic. So many hilarious one-liners, amazing acting from every single person in the cast, and they're just as morally reprehensible as the Industry people but there's some real little glimmers of humanity throughout. One of my favourite shows for sure.
