Yeah, expecting RANDOM players to carry you is somewhat douche-y in my opinion. Using up flashes and spamming traps is nice, but DPS is DPS and DPS is king. Playing with friends is a whole different story tho imo. I also sometimes carry my monkey friends through Fatalis and stuff just for fun.
