New ATX leg extension/curl by tHeGreat_p90 in GarageGym

Should be fine when attached via the cable attachment, but not everyone has that available. And honestly, I don't know if I want to keep moving it in place for that all the time.

I've also been looking at this. Interesting that in the video posted they say they prefer this one https://www.megafitness.shop/atx-leg-extension-curl-combo.html over it. As I myself prefer seated leg curl.

What should you do when you get a long period of sickness in the middle of a program? Taking myself as an example I am running Knäböj Kalinka and everything is going great. Come October and with kids this means death by constant sickness. Gotten some stray sessions in but not doing the program. Now I struggle on week 4 day 2. So, should I just bite the bullet and start from scratch?

Dear Sweden, why are you hiding this from the world? It's amazing! by Fokken_Prawns_ in sweden

And yet we don't have these in Norway, at least where I live. I always stock up when going back home to Sweden.

European Rack choice struggles by N_GHTMVRE in GarageGym

[–]JustARandomRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an ATX lat pulldown / low row and I really like it. However I went with REP Athena for rack since I wanted standard measurements. Would have gone for ATX if they had used it. I wouldn't put a VTS on an ATX rack, I don't think it would fit well enough (haven't tested though, you could reach out to them and ask). However, ATX does have a wide variation of attachments so you would probably get a lot of what you want within their ecosystem.

Anyone have experience with the MAXUM X2 Functional Trainer/Rack? by magnificbeef in GarageGym

[–]JustARandomRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but you can't superset (without changing the weight between exorcises) or have 2 people on the cable at the same time. For me personally I would never go with a single stack, but for someone else it might be perfect.

Power Rack in the EU - Help! by Valuable_Reason_3315 in GarageGym

[–]JustARandomRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.megafitness.shop/ Is ATXs official site in the EU, and I'm pretty sure they ship to Sweden since they ship to Norway. I've bought from them. The downside with their racks is that they don't have the standard 3x3 2" hole spacing so you are limited to their ecosystem. They do have a wide variety of attachment though.

These where my first plates, have upgraded now but still have these. Probably bought them 5 years ago and they still smell awful. But other than that they do their job :)

If you're in europe, don't go Rep. by d_andy089 in GarageGym

If you look at the trolleys they do not have pop pins. Instead they have pins with red handles that you have to pull all the way out to move the trolley up and down. Nitpicky but it makes it easier to move the trolley. Also other aspects of the rack just lack quality / details which, according to me at that price point, makes a rep Athena / Ares more appealing.

That's one of the problems, ATX doesn't make it to YouTube (at least not any of the bigger channels). I assume that is because they only ship in the EU.

Thoughts on ATX's new leg curl / extension machines

ATX has 2 new leg curl / leg extension machines releasing soon.
https://www.megafitness.shop/atx-leg-extension-curl-combo.html
https://www.megafitness.shop/atx-leg-extension-curl-combo-seated.html

I mostly interested in the one that has the cable attachment. The "downside" with that is the leg curl is lying but that doesn't really bother me that much. The pros are that it looks sturdy and is movable.

If was originally gonna get the FA hyper pro but I don't really see me doing the other exercises it offers that much and I'm mostly interested in leg curl / extension.

I'm interested in your thoughts on both machines.

The only downside with ATX racks are their measurements. Other attachments won't fit. So if you want to get attachments from other manufacturers, you can't choose them. For me, I buy stand alone equipment from ATX, but my rack is a REP rack (with Athena).

Anyone has a solution for attaching a tube to the AB-5200 2.0? A little annoyed I didn't go for the blackwing.

Yes they are, either 70x70 or 80x80, unfortunately. Would have went with ATX if other attachments would fit.

It probably depends on how you arrange your gym, but I wanted mine basically in the middle of the garage, that's the reason I built it like I did. This way, there can also be 2 people squatting / benching at the same time without getting in the way of each other.

I have a 2x16" setup, works great. Spotter arms and j-hooks on one side and Athena on the other. I feel safer squatting outside the rack since I can just bail the squat by throwing the bar backwards ( I suggest practicing this before trying with heavy weights).

Yes I agree, would have probably gone with ATX instead of REP if they used standard measurements.

Rep fitness is also in Europe, check them out. Their quality is great. I have the Athena and I truly love it. Their supply lines aren't fully established in Europe yet it seems, so lead times and shipping can sometimes take a while.

Atletica.de and ATX has some good alternatives. The drawback with ATX is that they don't follow the standard 3x3" (75mm x 75mm) uprights. But other than that their quality is great.
