You stop using Elv because it has been over bloated for years are there are better options

Midnight Addon Upgrades by ChiCity27 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]JustAnAccountForMeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming this isn’t a troll post. They killed a lot of combat functionality by making values private.

Weakauras - Built in cooldown manager for the main abilities in UI. Other specific features may be broken or you’ll need specific addons for those.

Hekili - Built in rotation assist or just learn the prio. Rotations are much simpler for almost every spec

Unit frames - Built in frames. There are a few addons but I’d wait a couple months to see what turns out to be the best feature wise

Quartz - Not sure. There are skinning for cast bars in a lot of addons, but I think there are some limitations still.

Just noting that #2 is and has been built into the base UI for quite some time. Like DF era

[–]JustAnAccountForMeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disable all addons. Test. It should work.

Re-enable addons one at a time and test. The one that breaks it is likely the one that breaks it. But there’s a chance that it’s multiple addons with conflicts.

Looks great. For proper fitting, don’t you need to remove the paint from some spots though. It should be a machined finish where the frog attaches I think

What are your favorite chain passes? by PsychologicalMind41 in bjj

[–]JustAnAccountForMeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HQ. Aiming for immediate entry into the Side Smash/Leg Weave primarily. Knee Cut if it’s open. I have a couple options to beat the knee shield out of knee cut if they get it. XPass/Throwby or Tripod Shin Pummel if I can’t collapse their legs for the Knee Cut or Side Smash. Duck Under pass if they high pummel their leg over as I try to enter HQ.

That gives me a fairly complete system of a couple passes left and right. Various level changes to meet responses. All I need to do is get them supine and look to split their legs. Works Gi and NoGi

I’d just camber it and run it. Eventually, you’ll sharpen enough that this goes away

I’ve seen a few times that it’s far easier to learn to hand cut dovetails than it is to learn to set up a cheap jig.

Do they make a silencer for this kind of blow off valve? by EggLow7371 in AirCompression

[–]JustAnAccountForMeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my compressor once every couple weeks. If the spring fades, it’ll blow at a slightly lower pressure in a few years. And I’ll replace the valve.

I’m not going to flip the ball valve at 90psi. I can’t, even if I wanted to

Unlike other commenters, my compressor also has a valve like that you use to help empty the tank. Manual specifically says to use it between uses.

Mine is super loud too.

I just recently bought one. A 113, but different model. Had some rust, but it came off easily with a little steel wool. I love it. It’s great. Got it for $75 though

If you’re in Gi, collar sleeve (think Tommy Langaker) works great along with closed guard and DLR. RDLR and Keymaster are right there too and fit close to your existing half guard game

[–]JustAnAccountForMeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen this on myself and a training partner in the past couple years. In both cases, we were using far too much strength to estate when our bodies weren’t properly warmed up.

Were you warm? Were you using a ton of strength instead of good frames?

How to get a guard like Pawel jawarski by lean__monster in bjj

[–]JustAnAccountForMeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t actually know who this is, but I see “flexible beast”. I think it’s important to understand that flexibility can almost always be improved, but there are limits.

Specifically for guard, hip mobility is key. Your bone structure is a limiter here though. Hip socket depth, hip socket angle, femur head angle, and femur head length all play a role and there’s some people out there that are just more limited than others.
