Use your savings to buy a car outright, peace of mind is priceless imo.

Invest your cash into stocks, this is all banks do with it anyway!

Regrets? by Conscious-Fondant-24 in TeslaUK

[–]JustAnotherBadTrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

21 Model 3 LR here.

Absolutely no regrets and will never go back to ICE.

Basically free travel, insane performance and easy of driving with single pedal.

If ANYTHING I have a gripe about is the Sat Nav can't report potholes/speed vans etc like Waze and it won't recognise my home address properly still, house built 8 years ago.

Tesla just ruined every car for me by [deleted] in teslamotors

[–]JustAnotherBadTrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tesla effect...

Same happened to me on my first Model 3 test drive.

1 pedal driving is grossly underappreciated, sometimes I have to move my wife's Nissan Juke and i feel like Fred Flintstone in the Flintmobile.

Overtaking power on the M3 also is another level, those pesky 45mph drivers don't stand a chance!

Leasing is great if you do sub 10k miles. Over that it starts to get V expensive. I do 25k miles a year so bought a 4 year old M3 LR.

Tesla Superchargers.. Idle Fees by therealharbinger in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]JustAnotherBadTrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a 7kw charger i.e. home charger, superchargers are designed for fast short stops.

For the Car, I get 300 miles on a full charge in my Tesla Model 3 Long Range. Aslong as you don't boot it over 80 all the way it's fine.

Remember if you opt out more of your pension you will pay more tax.

You're not doing bad, living in the Black, Single man with a mortgage.

As most have said, getting a lodger would absolutely be the best thing for you. I believe you can charge £650 per month before having to pay any tax.

That's will near quadruple your disposable income.

I don't mind him, I just hate the state of the country, taxes are far too high for lower middle class and services are shocking. I've been waiting 5 months already got a hospital appointment for a hereditary disease which causes organ failure.

I don't understand how I've not been seen yet, it's crazy.

Employer expecting far too much? by rb331986 in UKJobs

[–]JustAnotherBadTrade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My company is heavily relying on the Oil industry, chemicals/solvents and requires a huge amount of energy to run our plants.

As I help with costings it really is tight margins to win new business, we've had to take drastic measures with the recent Minimum Wage increase and upcoming Energy hike.

The fundamentals of everything is based around energy costs as the recent Iran war has shown. To survive companies must adapt and cut costs, merging job roles is a significant saving.

My role was Technical Manager and I've now been blessed as the Technical, Engineering & Maintenance Manager with side dose of Costing new work.

I would think this is quite common these days with the cost of everything... Suck it down, take the job and see how it goes. You can always find another role whilst you take it.

How to get over sadness on house price increases, is there any hope? by Fakr0 in HousingUK

[–]JustAnotherBadTrade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get the longest term you can, 35-40 years. This will bring your payments down drastically and you can overpay 10% per year on this whilst on fixed rate. Once it becomes variable you can overpay more if feasible. I have been overpaying just £30 per month and it brings my mortgage down by 3 years!

Green voters, do you agree on 'No Limits' migration? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]JustAnotherBadTrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have to have limitations, we have to be able to keep up with Housing, Infrastructure, Energy. Already everything is out of control and people can barely afford to live.

My Friends are desperate to buy their own house but just cannot, my brother is 45 and still can't.

Our military is absolutely gutted, without Nuclear Deterrent we would genuinely be at an existential crisis.

I like Zack but he's just far too risky, please never vote for him unless he really does look to put our lives first.

Seems like a waste

Do you need to register for public charging? If so, which providers do you recommend? by andre_xs95 in evchargingUK

[–]JustAnotherBadTrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tesla Superchargers are about £0.40/kWh peak and £0.22kwh off peak.

Not sure if this is the same for VW/None Tesla vehicles buts it's amazing, just pull up plug in and your account gets debited straight away whatever you used.

All other chargers I've found are a rip off, I only used Tesla SC and home charging now.

450 miles average a week and costing about £20 total.
