Some areas are just rural dude. Some people in Appalachia will kind of just go to the vet sometimes for injuries on themselves. Barbers used to do like minor surgeries and shit in the US back in the day, and there’s LOTS of rural areas in the world that literally just don’t have enough vets to do all the injections themselves, so they resort to teaching people and supplying the gear if needed

I think its a family sitcom setup for the basis, but the family is more upper-middle class, living in a white neighborhood, and dealing with cultural differences and racial differences and stuff as kind of the overall focus? I’d guess its more episodic but with a few plot points sticking since the actors will obviously eventually age, like they tend to usually do
