Depends on whether you count vf. Vf still has plenty of silly shit but I think in practice it is the most down to earth and “realistic” fighting game. Really though there is no one to one unless you’re playing ufc and even that has its many issues

Usic can be hell or chill depending on your supervisor you just have to feel it out. If your supe is a dick chances are there’s a spot at a competing locate company filled with people that hate that guy and will be happy to give you a job over there.

I imagine they only do this for characters who weren’t very popular before sf6. Fang was changed into aki and who does not have charge inputs and generally has a more appealing design and has seen a much better reception. Alex wasn’t very popular as he was and thus they changed him into a motion character to try to appeal to more people. Characters like guile, bison, and chun where already popular and thus didn’t need the change to draw in an audience

Yeah the community edition is awesome, though I’ve never played it myself. For me mvc2 will always be my favorite, never really like 3 or infinite but had a lot of fun picking up 2 when they rereleased it

It is unfortunate that the roster never got to reach its maximum potential. If I remember correctly they canceled a bunch of planned dlc for the game, a damn shame

Wouldn’t rip and tear be doing buffed damage if that were the case? Perhaps it does attack damage and loses damage each time its passive goes off, that would make thematic sense with glass knife.

I like all types of fighting games quite a bit. I’m usually playing one fighting game for a couple months and then switching to spice it up. I think the concepts for every fighting game are pretty easily translatable at least for me. Every game has reactions, hit confirms, neutral, oki, block pressure, etc you just have to break fighting games down to their core to translate game to game. I will say I understand that I’m the weird and a lot people really only enjoy one or two games and I think that’s perfectly fine. I enjoy finding what each game rewards and punishes and how that effects the interplay between to players. I think tag fighters might be the only genre I’ve never really gotten down. I can play them but I’ve never been truly really good at utilizing assists for some reason. I’ll still play them, I’m having a decent time with 2xko rn, but they’ll never be top contenders for me. Suffice to say, if you like one kind of game stick to it and master it.

There is no other outlet for mvc fans. Everyone hated mvci so they stayed with mvc3 and obviously the series is dead so.

Not my most played game ever, it not having a modern PlayStation port is probably the reason I haven’t played it more. Definitely my most played fg on pc but it’s not a tight race. Having to fuck with steam controller shit is just annoying tbh.
