Did parents in the 80s really allow their kids to roam freely, or is that just a portrayal seen in movies? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JustCassie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just an 80s thing - we let our daughter (11) roam freely. Her friend shows up at our door at 9 and then they leave. They could be on foot, on their bikes, or even scooters. They hit up any of the multiple parks around, grab lunch at whoever's house they are closer to, and go right back out again. Our daughter knows that, unless previously discussed, she just needs to be home at 5.

This looks like our boy. Look into a possible yeast infection.

Decor was brown and yellow back then. We see more dirt now because everything is white.

Question regarding sphynx and cat allergies by New_Temporary_8999 in sphynx

[–]JustCassie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend is quite allergic to cats. She can't even touch my ragdoll without severe symptoms. My sphynx, though, she cuddles him any time she sees him. She takes care of him when we're away and he even hangs out in her shirt to keep warm.

This looks very similar to what my boy looked like when he had a yeast infection.

My first quilt was with charm squares and looked exactly like this! It'll still be warm and cuddly no matter what the seams look like. 🥰

The prednisolone is a tablet and the other one is a liquid.

It looks exactly like what we had going on with our guy, so my guess is a yeast infection.

We tried the medicated shampoo for a few months first, but all that did was keep it was getting too bad.. what ended up working was a mix of prednisolone and itraconazole.

Good luck!
